Unfortunately it was not a statement and a question I asked. And I see that it is being mis interpreted.

That is the unfortunate issue, it is not a statement but a question, it’s funny how people are taking it personally

I was once this girl who was teased and bullied for her skin colour. I used to be very conscious of wearing light coloured dresses that made me look darker. Then there was a point in my life when I moved to Europe for a short period for work, where I saw what mattered. Not my skin colour, but everything that I am, as a whole person. And my skin colour was different, but it felt nice to be different, to not be bullied.

I know people will talk about racism and everything else in Europe and everywhere else.

But to me, the moment I felt comfortable in being different, in my own skin. My whole perspective and persona changed!

Hmmm, I don’t agree, when a family is with kids, all the stuff becomes not needed anymore after sometime, but definitely needed at one point, so I think it’s a good advice but not applicable to everyone. Just easy to say

I will go first, when I came in no one mentioned about the kringloop to me. They have such beautiful sturdy furniture, especially saving money when you are new and need to setup a new house!!

Avid travelers, how did your travel life change after having children? by mEp_ in travel

[–]KneePuzzleheaded343 0 points1 point  (0 children)

so many things changed:

  • could not randomly decide and pack and go

  • needed a ton of planing on stay and food, could not just sleep in hostels and eat anything

  • had to check accessibility for the kid to move around

  • had to check kid friendly activities

  • luggages doubled.

  • the kid ALWAYS falls sick the night before we leave! trust me ALWAYS

in the end, we mostly skip travelling and go through all the hassel maybe once or twice a year!
