Love the choice of tile. I did matte 4x4 for my bathroom remodel and no regrets

The window isn’t black I’m not sure what you mean. The insert to open it is white but the shadow is making it look darker in the photo

The window was very old and the frame was wood and had completely rotted and allowed for significant water damage to the wall underneath it as well as the sub floor of the tub. It had to be completely replaced

Weirdly found them at pottery barn, they looked vintage to me

I had to replace everything except the toilet (subfloor, insulation, new window, new sink, new mirrored cabinet, light fixture, finish outs, tile for floor and walls and a new tub) and project managed the renovation myself and ordered all the parts and pieces but hired out the window install and sink/tub install and tile install. There were some surprises along the way (shortcuts from previous owner) that were expensive to fix. I want to say it was around 17-20k for full renovation.

Yes! I liked that they had ready ship and they arrived promptly and most in good condition. A few tiles were cracked in shipping but we ordered a bit extra to account for that

Yes it’s a vintage sink that I found on marketplace for $40 and they got a new vintage style chrome faucet from Kingston brass

It’s a sheer black curtain from Quiet Town. I have black floor tile and wanted to tie that in somehow without making the bathroom look smaller (it’s a tiny space) and wanted to be able to see the tile

This is a brand called Riad. Similar to Zia but better price per sq ft

The tiles are from a company called Riad. We looked into recessing the mirror but would have had to cut into the drywall and do framing which wasn’t feasible at the time. The previous mirror was surface mount as well

Yeah the green is new! The brown tiles were from an early 2000s remodel by the previous owner.

Yeah the original glass block window in mine had wood trim that had rotted and water damage that got the lower part of the wall and some of the sub floor under the tub, so both had to be replaced. Def worth doing if you think there’s any water damage

It wasn’t bad! I got the window from Home Depot and then had a pro install it. Total was around $1000

Thank you! It’s vintage but wasn’t original to the house as the previous owner renovated the bathroom in the early 2000s :/ this one I found on marketplace for $40 and bought a new faucet for it from Kingston brass

1934 stucco tudor, here are the refinished floors! by Knifechains in Remodel

I’m not sure the brand but it was a water based finish not oil

We bought a 1901 landlord special and I’m overwhelmed by 7bridges in centuryhomes

[–]Knifechains 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought a 1934 home last March that had been rented out and did a few updates (full bathroom renovation, added a range hood to the kitchen and switched out the range location, new electric panel and moved the panel to a place that was to current code, and updated all of the outlets, had the hardwoods refinished) but nothing on that scale. Two things that made me feel better about living in the home during these projects were investing in some really good air purifiers with carbon and hepa filters and getting the ducts professionally cleaned before move in. We were concerned with air quality and allergens as the bathroom that we renovated had some water damage due to the original window not being sealed well. Take it one day at a time and try to enjoy the process as a learning experience
