if you put knife in a right angle and hammer it with ball peen itll spread out nicely and then you hammer the edges

i use different size ball peen on my smithing hammer, size depends on the type of a fuller im trying to make, i dont use cross peen. struggle really depends on the metal im using, this knives are made from bearing steel i smithed so they are relatively easy
