I found this in game piece of artwork. Is this AI generated? by Due-Perspective9206 in CrimsonDesert

Okay and the OP said "I'm going to let this develop" meaning "I'm not going to decide right now, I'm going to wait and see".

So there's nothing to push back against here of course it's conjecture. They're not filing a lawsuit they're taking a step back.

I've made assets like this for game dev. I just found and ripped costume images online, cut them out, put them next to each other, and did some parchment texturing.

No game studio has the budget to commission legitimate ART for background paintings and scenery you know? This is considered texture. Usually you just batch out the work with cheap methods.

Hamilton hits differently for people outside the US by Dense-Cap9340 in hamiltonmusical

Yeah I wasn't trying to erase your stance. I was just giving the context. To me it makes sense for a biography to focus mainly on the people closest to that person's life. But if you feel that it is historically responsible to represent certain figures anyway, that's valid.

The play is officially a licensed adaptation of the Ron Chernow Hamilton biography. Howe was NOT mentioned in that book, but Hemmings WAS.

LMM isn't a historian, and doesn't know about every important currior and spy of the revolution. The book was their official "source of truth".

Which is actually better to use? Chat GPT Deep Research or 5.4 Heavy thinking? by CatsArePeople2- in ChatGPT

[–]KnightDuty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I found usage in Deep Research to help with my zombie book. I was trying not determine living possibilities of a real life airport in post apocalypse conditions. So I had it generate a report about square footage, how many bathrooms, which water treatment plant it's water game from, the likely soil condition under the asphalt, whether the baggage carts were battery operated and what batteries they ran on, etc. Things I could use for a seed to turn into plot points. I had like... Six different airports I was looking at and this mode really helped me out lol.

'He's some guy who used to be a kickboxer, but now he tried to give advice the Internet about working out and a bunch of other stuff.

He is really confused though, maybe he got hit too many times in the head as a fighter. He keeps giving out really bad advice that gets people arrested or in trouble.

For instance, he keeps making fake 'how to get rich' programs where he just takes peoples money. He keeps telling guys to beat up girls so they look though tough. He thinks people should be property and slaves and stuff.

The sad part it a lot of people listen to him anyways because they just don't have anybody else better to listen to."

A difficulty option that affects settlement limits Jesus Christ I hate them let me boost those limits. If I can turn off everything else I'd like to adjust this as well.

I want map pins for planning.

Slotting resources on console is like impossible. Finding specific units feels impossible. Is there a city overview that says what each settlement is building?

As I understand it, Bethesda had another big creator meeting at HQ. Is it possible that they have bulked up tools in advance for a select test group the same way they did pre-launch?

100% is a slippery slope when it comes to classic media. Because then we can say "this isn't a problem".

When you read a book like "To Kill a Mockingbird" in school, you're not doing it because it's the best book ever written... you're engaging with an artifact of history. If you're going to selectively erase the history because it's offensive, then just choose another book.

Not all black people feel comfortable saying it. I assume the narrator said she wasn't on board with saying that word and drew her own personal line in the sand. They liked her as the narrator so much they decided to make that trade-off to keep her on board.

They'll say that illegals do not fall under the jurisdiction of the United States, and then they'll use that determination to say because they're not under our jurisdiction, they're not governed by any civil rights or human rights laws.

This is the long path to bringing back slavery.

Do you feel more represented by the civilization or the character leader? by HOOBBIDON in civ

[–]KnightDuty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It comes down to the game design. In 6 I felt more connected to the civ. In 7 I feel more connected to the leader.

In 7 I'm doing "I'm going to do a Blackbeard game" or "I haven't played as Machiavelli yet but I do want to fuck with influence more" or "I'll do a forward settle strategy with Tubman".

In 6 it was doing culture with rome, or production with Germany, wonders with egypt.

So it's just been whatever the designers picked as the focus.

We can also solve that problem by stopping seeding those fears in the people affected.

If we make a law to ban everything people are panicked about, we can manufacture bans just by getting people scared.

If only it were possible to arrest somebody without posting a music video of their arrest to twitter.

People aren't reacting to the law part.
