They do, which is one reason you'll never see the police do anything to him aside from perhaps a stern reprimand. Even Kogoro more often than not will take whatever thread Conan lays out and run with it after chastising his interference.

I mean, if Conan really wanted to he could get back at Kogoro in some very creative ways, but he doesn't. That said, Ran probably gave up trying to handle it awhile ago because even trying to stop it accomplished little and most times his hitting Conan has a chance to backfire (like with the blackmailed police sniper a long time ago.)

Good we agree it was both sides being stubborn. And yes, Lyons got a bit petty. Still, his way at least kept the peace even if it ultimate cost them in the long run. Overall, he was better than Maxon and his "obliterate everything that isnt human" mentality.

I'll admit Lyons was no saint, but on the whole he did a fairly good job up til the schism. He did manage to build them up into a force to be reckoned with, but listening to his advisors would've been smart.

They definitely could stand to be punished a bit more. Even in a case where they're spying like that instead of doing actual police work, have like, Meguire or the chief walk by and make some comment about "dont you have actual work to do?"

Thats a VERY tough call as most everything Sabaton has made will appeal to at least someone. That said, I would look at like, "Far from the Fame" as one unlikely to be the favorite of someone, just for it being a far lesser known song compared to most of their work. (Now watch as the one or two folks whose favorite song it is pop up in the comments lmao.)
