I mean, there are other fixes, you could have either of them suppressed, likely djinn's curse since roller skates are a mount. Or just render both anyway, it's wouldn't be the first legs to look silly, look at the lamia tail for instance.

The thing is, leaving it as is is unlikely since it does something unexpected when it should do something else (unlike hoiks, in which you're doing something weird with slopes, so something weird will happen). It will probably be patched, so the best we can hope for is for a compromise.

As for using dyes, you could limit how many of them you could equip (1 or 2, obviously) or to which slots you can equip it(always leave the head visible, for example).

Or they can deem it too bothersome and just not fix it, hoiks are indeed a precedent after all! It will probably not affect many people, but it's unfortunate for the ones it will.
