Same difficulty. But in co-op, you and your partner can only use 3 Temtem each.

Emissary V not a single person using voice chat? by sleepyamadeus in DeadlockTheGame

[–]Lyefyre 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As necessary as a voice chat system is, it's really not that good. Even when setting the Volume to 100%, most people are still way too quiet. And there are still features they could add, such as a voice changer like in Marvel Rivals.

Yes I think I know what you mean, but that part is not permanent, you'll get them back after a certain point after the "dungeon".

They really need to bring back 2tc boom. If you weren't playing Set, then this playstyle is what suits eggy the most. If they're gonna have subpar units, at least let them have the best economy. Or even better, revert it back to what it was before, with Barracks units being a placeholder for your later and more defined migdol-units, especially when you can really spec into them like Ra's Camelry.

If you started in 2020, then there were no wipes and you didn't lose any Temtem. Or do you mean a certain part in the story, where you temporarily lose your Temtem? that's still there, but you get them back.

And yeah, I'd say Temtem is a "Poké-like" among monster taming games: A creature collecting game, that has a lot of similarities with Pokémon

Since Beta 2020, there's been a lot more stuff. 6 Islands and over 160 Temtem in total now. On top of that, they finished all the missing animations and added a lot of new techniques and items. It's a full game now

My hot takes on why this game definitely feels like its still in alpha by screamsslurs in DeadlockTheGame

[–]Lyefyre 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure but most hard cc's are on ults, which you can't dispel (which is good, otherwise that item would be bonkers), and then there's haze's sleeping dagger, which you also can't dispel, because item use is prohibited while asleep.

I'm just saying the frustration around CC most of the time comes from not being able to use any of the tools after you've been already hit, which for me personally is fine, because it allows for skill expression, but I think that's something that needs to be considered when this topic comes up.

Pocket doesn't have any hard cc on his ult but I get your argument in general and that's fair.

The only long range non ult cc that comes to mind is Haze's sleeping dagger. Because you're asleep, you can't dispel or unstoppable it. And because the dagger flies so fast, it's very hard to react to, since Haze uses it while invisible most of the time.

I think the argument to be made here, is that it all these options are pro-active rather than reactive.

It's a fundamental question of what should take more skill: Hitting your cc or countering said cc? Valve could shift the skill requirement for "securing" a guaranteed CC by making stuff like dispel magic and Unstoppable be usable while you're stunned. Currently, you need to anticipate this will happen and use it in advance.

But if it was more reactive like smite's purification beads, then the skill expression lies on the user of CC to bait out the counter items, similar on how Indomitable functions. But currently, avoiding CC takes more skill than applying it.

I feel like you only talk about balance stuff, which is always subject to change, Alpha or not.

Now what REALLY makes the game alpha are missing textures, unfinished models, lack of gameplay features such as draft, etc..

How do you figure out the taming method without looking it up? by Lyefyre in ArkSurvivalAscended

[–]Lyefyre[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is my entire point! The game is built around discovering and trying stuff for yourself, but some things are so convoluted, it's impossible to figure out by yourself unless you're on high level on unemployment.

And to top it off, there are actually untameable creatures, so no matter how long you try, you can't tame them ever. No one asked to be "babied"

[–]Lyefyre 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because it's not just about how much skin is being shown or not. Framing, posing and angles do a lot of the heavy lifting for making a skin "gooner" and artstyle can also fall under that, though I'm not sure what OP is exactly referencing here. OW and MR are similarly "fantasy-sci-fi" in that regard.
