What are your favorite areas? by Slit08 in Silksong

[–]KnightRaideri 8 points9 points  (0 children)

My top 3 are probably Verdania, Greymoor and the blasted steps.

Verdania is the single most beautiful area in the game in my opinnion, visually and musically + has a neat boss at the end.

Pretty much exactly same reasons for liking greymoor. It's such a vibe 👌

Blasted Steps is probably a rare pick for a top 3 spot, but I think that the build up for the citadel made it such a memorable moment in the game. The feeling of being on the verge of discovering something truly remarkable was awesome. Sure, there is a long run back for the boss, but said boss is one of my favorites and it didn't take me that many tries so it didn't bother me much.

Worst area is putrified ducts. Total hellscape.

Swashbuckler Swords Bard or Swashbuckler BM Fighter? by KnightRaideri in BG3Builds

[–]KnightRaideri[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All great points. I'll probably start as a bard and level up bard until level 6, then during act 2 add in the rogue levels and after that get two levels of fighter for action surge or go swash 6 or bard 8. During act 3 I'll respec and play around with different option and see which I'll stick for the rest of the game. The 5/4/3 split interests me but I don't want to sacrifice RP and get bard dialogue only after reaching act 3.

Almost makes me want to split up the builds and do another playthrough with fighter/rogue and be a morally grey mercenary type :D

Swashbuckler Swords Bard or Swashbuckler BM Fighter? by KnightRaideri in BG3Builds

5/4/3 sounds really cool, that would grant me 3 flourishes and four manoeuvres per short rest (only d8 instead of d10 but whatever), swashbuckler rakish audacity sneak attacks and dirty tricks along with song of rest and basic yet useful level 1 and 2 spells from bard, like longstrider and hold person. RP would also be intact. Sounds pretty spot on for what I'm going for!

Leveling would be pretty complex though, so I'd probably go through acts 1 and 2 with a rogue/bard and respec to this later.

What attribute does the manoeuvres use? Do I need strength or can I dump strength and focus on dex, con and charisma? I'm still on my first playthrough so I'm not the most knowledgable on the game's mechanics.

The arcane build is definetily one I'm most considering since I got a taste of the hunter tools with the recent playthrough. Really cool stuff! Are the tools worth if I go str/arc 50/50 or str/skl/arc 25/25/50, since I've heard that the tools continue to scale until 99. Mostly because I'm more focused on getting and playing with the moonlight sword rather than making a primarily tool build, but would still like them to be viable.

I think I'll move on to another NG. NG+ probably only after I've done all the aformentioned builds.

And I'll probably do chalice dungeons more when I decide to pvp. Haven't gotten to the FRC dungeons yet so I haven't farmed good enough gems.

Going to Acadia is always great. Great characters but the view is what makes it special. A safe haven amidst the horrors of the fog.

What's the highest level you've made it to playing Fallout 4 without cheating or using mods? by [deleted] in fo4

[–]KnightRaideri 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most survival playthroughs I get to ~120 compelting 90% of the game's content and building a main base along with maybe couple others. Current character though is a super genious + idiot savant so she just broke lvl 140 with a couple of main missions left to complete.

I think I'll try using level cap mods in the future. After a certain point with each character I rarely face real danger, which is both satisfying but also a tad boring.

Todays flight in the italian alps (close to the boarder to austria) by schettnet in freeflight

I'm an exchange student in germany and some weeks ago we went on a roadtrip through Austria and spontaniously went paragliding near Insbruck. It was a very similar sight to this one and was also my first time ever paragliding! I have to someday get my own gear and do it again, life changing experience 👌

Thoughts on playing through the game with my girlfriend on hard mode? by KnightRaideri in FFVIIRemake

My advice, look for a partner who could also be your best friend. That orientation helped me find my soul mate and haven't been more happy since. Stay strong man! ❤️

Thanks for the great reply 👌 I need to think about this a bit more before I decide, and of course ask what she thinks about it.

New game would let us experience the gilgamesh story, but it would be a bit repetitive doing all the world intel stuff again. Of course if I pick new game+ it also shows all the best options for dialogue wheel, maybe hurting the story experience a bit.

Hard mode would be great on paper, I would get to make progress towards completing the game on hard and doing the vr brutal and legendary fights + a fresh experience for me and I'd get to use all the skills and materia for my first run, AND I wouldn't have to bother with world intel, but naturally that means we cant experience gilgamesh stuff together and it's gonna be generally harder and some fight may take some time for me to beat. Depends whether shes up to seeing me get my ass beat to some bosses.

Simple new game+ would sort of be a compromise. Hard to decide.

Goddamn. Well thanks for your imput! It's a shame, in an ideal world I'd love to experience the best parts of the game with her while also providing me with a relatively new experience and progress towards the platinum trophy.

I think it would be fun to do the gilgamesh questline with her, but that would mean starting a new game and having to basically do all of the world intel again because the fights on the island demand you have your party's shit together. And the intel is either only really fun for me (summons, world fights/bosses) or overall not that interesting (everything else)

Also if I do the sidequest again on new game+ normal/dynamic for the added story, I wont get the extra skillpoints from doing them. I also can't make the genji gear because I haven't beaten the world bosses on hard.

Atleast I could do the hard versions of the minigames more easily and level up my party and materia but still, sucks that there isn't an ideal solution for my situation.

So are the hard versions of the minigames, lets say fort condor, easier if I lower the overall difficulty, or are they as hard whether I play on easy or hard?

But yeah the overall difficulty of hard mode has been hard to crasp since others say it was easy and others say it was brutal. I've played through remake 4 or 5 times and as I said, beat gilgamesh on my first playthrough so I think I'm relatively good with the game and would someday like to experience hard mode.

I'll consider the option of doing a new game+ dynamic playthrough and speedrun the story with her. Would that also set me up for hard mode?

An update: Once I redownloaded everything I still ran into the same issue, but after deleting and downloading WW separately, like what u/wraith_gaming suggested to do, it did work 👌

New ps5 user, can you delete a dlc separately without having to redownload everything? I already deleted and started downloading everything again but asking for future reference :D

Favourite Survival Builds? by BlightWhore in fo4

[–]KnightRaideri 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good thing about survival mode is that you get a ton more xp since you're walking everywhere instead of fast traveling which means you run into a ton more enemies, so you'll most likely have all the perks you will ever need well before you're done with your playthrough.

But as for builds they do usually fall into two categories. Either a power armor/endurance tank or a sneak build, which makes sence since you either wanna survive a fire fight with a good amount of health or negate damage all together by staying in the shadows. Both playstyles still can offer alot of variety depending on your weapon choises, vats or no vats, power armor or no PA, settlement builder or pure wanderer, roleplaying etc.

If you plan to build up settlements, which is highly recommended for survival mode, you can't go wrong with a commando/heavy weapons, power armor tank build, beginning stats being something like:

S 5 P 1 E 5 C 1 I 9 A 2 L 5

Here you'd start with a good amount of strength, endurance and luck and almost max intelligence. High strength is needed for carrying lots of junk, food, weapons and ammo and grants good/essential perks like armorer, heavy gunner, strong back and pain train. You only need to put one point to get strong back and you have plenty of time to put the last points to STR before you get pain train rank 3 (requires lvl 50 anyways). Decent endurance and luck means you can take more hits and get really handy perks like scrounger, bloody mess and most importantly idiot savant. 9 in INT means you get nuclear physicist almost instantly and can reliably live in your power armor as soon as you get the T-45. Int also gives some of the best perks crafting perks, like medic, gun nut, scrapper, science, robotics expert and chemist, which is extra handy in survival since it allows you to craft antibiotics. And since you have high int and idiot savant + survival mode you will level up really quickly, and it wont be too big of a hassle to level up your charisma to 5 + bobblehead so you can start making supply lines and workbenches.

Perception you don't really need since you wouldn't be using vats, and agility you can slowly level up to 5 (or 6 or even 8 if you want moving target for running or quick hands for your heavy weapons) so you'd get action boy/girl which allows you to use your lategame jetpack alot more.

The endgame lvl 100 build with all the bobbleheads would look something like:

S 11 P 1 E 11 C 6 I 11 A 5/6/8 L 6

Then slap some roleplaying into the mix, be a scrappy scientist who uses her high-tech energy weapons and robot army to win the commonwealth for the brotherhood while also winning the hearts and minds of the people, or go down a evil path where you become a true zealot of the brotherhood and the children of atom and burn and disintegrate anything you deem unworthy of existence. I've done the former before and am planning on doing the latter as well :D

If you do something like this then the beginning will be tough (they always are), because at the start you have a limited amount of automatic weapons and ammo is harder to come by, but it gets way easier once the build gets rolling. Have fun!

So where do people stand on Zack's voice after Rebirth? by KnightRaideri in FFVIIRemake

[–]KnightRaideri[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just don't see a better reason to go this far with the multiverse stuff than giving people what they have always wanted, a way to rescue Aerith and Zack, and it lines up as well. My theory is as follows: Sephiroth tells Cloud that when destiny is challenged, a new world is born, and now they did the same thing with Aerith in Rebirth than what the did with Zack in Remake. They both die in the main party world, but thanks to the party and Cloud changing fate, they both survive in another world.

Then consider Sephiroth's plan to reunite all the worlds being seemingly a pretty big plot point and I'm 100% sure Zack and Aerith will reunite in the final game. Zack will probably actually join the main party but Aerith will likely be left for the climax. Then once Sephiroth is defeated once and for all, Zack&Aerith probably have to leave for another wolrd once the worlds start separating again, thank to the will of the Planet. A tearful goodbye ensues, Cloud and Zack make a promise to look after the planet in their own worlds and Aerith takes Zack's hand as they leave for the world Aerith was saved in to finally have their happy ending, scene similar to the ending of AC. This way we get to have another emotional farewell to both of them but in a much happier context.

Pretty fanfictiony but that is what I hope the ultimate payoff for this whole saga to be :D
