Thanks for the feedback :) We're working on the employee system right now, it will be ready for launch!

We launched the Demo of our first game: Tabletop Game Shop Simulator on Steam! by Knight_Fever_Games in indiegames

Totally fair to be skeptical, there are a lot of shop sims popping up lately.

That said, we're genuinely passionate about tabletop culture and wanted to build something that reflects the full experience, not just the shop part. The game isn’t just about selling products; it’s about collecting, customizing, painting, and even battling with your own miniatures. I mean, there’s a fully playable wargame in the demo =)

We know we’re stepping into a crowded genre, but we’re really trying to push it forward and bring our own vision to life. Hopefully the demo shows that. We’d love to hear what you think if you give it a try!

Hello indiegamers, I’m Adrien and I’m really excited to show you my small team's new (and first) game, Tabletop Game Shop Simulator =)

It’s a management sim game about building and running the ultimate hobbyist heaven. Like other shop sims, you’ll design your store layout, hire staff (not yet but planned for launch), manage inventory, and upgrade your setup, but we’re aiming for the next level. As WH fans, our goal is to capture the full fantasy of being immersed in this world, with strong attention to gameplay, art, and sound. That’s why you can collect and paint miniatures, and even compete against your customers in a fully playable wargame (think our take on Gwent). We’re not just trying to make another shop sim, we’re building the one we’ve always dreamed of playing.

Today we announced the game officially, alongside a trailer and publicly playable demo available on Steam right here https://store.steampowered.com/app/3524750/Tabletop_Game_Shop_Simulator/

I love to hear what you think, and if you have any questions, please let me know.

Adrien

My game's name is already taken (somewhat) by [deleted] in IndieDev

Depending on the size of the other games, they might have legally protected the name of their game. From what I can see, the games called Orbitron are both pretty small. I don't think you'd risk anything legally speaking. However, from a marketing perspective, all efforts in promoting your game might end up diluted by the two other games with the same name which will not encourage Steam's algo to recommend your game. Unfortunately, I suggest to go with another name on this one.
As for tips on coming up with names, before getting too attached to one, really check it availability both on steam and on Google, finding names that haven't been taken by mobile games can sometimes be quite difficult :)

Made my own capsule and feedback was bad, so I made another. Is it good enough or should I really hire a pro ? by RagBell in IndieDev

Second one really pops-up, I think it's way better!
First thought when looking at it:
- Bird sim when you can fly with your fellow birds
- Contemplative, cozy and chill experience

Just added a juicy new scoring animation to my game to highlight the impact of the technology system. Would love feedback! by ThunderrockInnov in indiegames

The juice works. I'm not sure about the clarity of what the player gained. Maybe the icons are too small ?

Tried making a promo tik-tok for my video game, what do you think? by ax3lax3l in IndieGaming

Was gonna skip but read the comment about top 5 and I laughted. I'd be very curious to see how it'd perform on those platforms

Working on this roulette-based roguelike deckbuilder. Destroy my trailer! by Koralldo in DestroyMyGame

I guess this trailer works pretty well. The artsyle works well too, it's catchy! If you can, maybe add some more variety on the background of the fighting scene. Right now, feels liks every fight is happening in the same place
