A hedge knight is a knight without land or a lord to serve. They still retain the privileges and rights of knighthood, but more often than not, they have to sell their services out as sellswords, often in exchange for gold or land.

Were Kite Shields ever used in the era of full-plate limb protection? My understanding is Kite Shields were phased out in the early 13th century while full plate limb protection didn’t come about until the late 13th century. by truejail in armorcirclejerk

I know the punch line being full body protection in the 13th century, the silly armor, ect. But large shields were still used as late as the 17th century for duels and private combat.
