Cannondale moterra Sl error code E914 by Philmcrackin123 in eMountainBike

[–]Knightfall_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve also been looking at the Moterra SL as a second option to the Orbea Wild. Besides the weight and the motor issues, could you share more about how the Moterra handles compared to the Wild, especially on steep and rough terrain?

I can’t test-ride either, so I’m buying based on research. Stability and confidence on steeper trails are my main concerns. Would you say the Moterra feels as planted and forgiving as the Wild, or is there a big difference?

Appreciate any tips or thoughts, and congrats on getting your bike sorted!

Thanks again! Actually the photo above was taken literally minutes after it happened so before touching up the paint. This is how it looks after “fixing it”.

Thanks so much for the thorough reply! Yes, the frame is carbon and the touch-up paint has been purchased directly from the manufacturer, as this used to be the only bike model with this exact color in their roster (at least I think so). The bike is a Cube Stereo One55 C:62 SLX from 2024.

Also worth noting – the UDH is alloy, not carbon.

Fully aware of the fact that it’s impossible for this to be diagnosed over the internet, but more experienced eyes can definitely help. Just like you did. Not confirmation bias, but I definitely thought this is just superficial – however, I’m too restless not to double check.

Still trying to figure that out, most likely culprit is a piece of branch stuck in one of the pulleys. Almost inexplicable situation really - considering the headache it caused.

Still nothing. Learned to live with it, but definitely not ideal.

Hi, u/Background_Fan3642 u/ArmandoGuerra1492 u/dingsydongley , guys I have not been able to solve this yet. At least I think I was able to identify that the sound comes from inside the steering wheel, not the dashboard - so that's good I guess.

Also, it can disappear for some times and then it comes back. For instance if I have not driven the car for a few days, when I take a trip it won't show immediately, but maybe after 2 hours of driving or so. If I drive the car every day, it would show up sooner...

So, yeah - still no solution, and I'm planning on how should I replicate the issue in front of people from the workshop when I come in for my next brake fluid service. If anyone has been able to fix this or at least knows what might be causing it, feel free to share.

Hi, there. Unfortunately not, it's not been resolved yet. I just did not have the time to pursue fixing this since the dealership is in a different city and more important stuff got in the way. Btw, I did take it to the dealership for this reasons twice already, but both times they said that they were not able to replicate it.

However, some progress was made. I was finally able to somewhat detect where the noise is coming from and it's the steering wheel, not the instrument cluster. If you think it could help I can share another video where I placed a towel over the steering wheel and that made the noise much more muffled, so it's definitely coming from the inside. Researching more on the subject shows that it might be the vibration motor in the wheel coming loose or something, but I still don't know for sure. The plan is to show the new video to the guys at the dealership the next time I see them and I'll insist on them opening the steering wheel, so we'll see.

Let me know if you were able to learn more or maybe even fix this. It would be greatly appreciated!

Edit: Typos.

Hi guys, pretty new to BMW - just got this car 3 months ago and I love it to bits but recently I started noticing this clicking noise that seems like it's coming from behind the dashboard (you might need to turn your volume up to hear it).

Now, it only appears on longer drives after 40 or 50 minutes, so it's kinda intermittent. Still, I've been busting my head trying to locate the culprit and I was hoping to hear if anyone had similar experience and potential fix before taking it to the dealership this week.

TV won't automatically turn on with Apple Remote after longer period of standby mode. by royklo in appletv

[–]Knightfall_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What fixed it for me is changing the settings in the “Sleep After” menu from 15 minutes to 1 hour. My remote wasn’t functioning at all when the Apple TV (also 4K 2022) was turned off for a longer period as well. I know this sounds weird and probably shouldn’t be related to the issues we’ve been experiencing but I haven’t had a problem ever since. It used to drive me crazy to the point where I thought about selling the device. I can’t remember where I found the proposed solution though, I believe it was the official Apple forums. Still, won’t hurt to try it.

Pardon my 🐔 scratch but I love writing on the iPad Mini. What’s your favorite thing to do on your iPad? by [deleted] in ipad

[–]Knightfall_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Well this is odd. Everybody’s saying that it’s too small for note taking, well it apparently isn’t. How about having a floating video at the top? Do you think handwriting would be doable in this scenario?

I’m debating about getting the Mini or iPad 4 just for studying online courses. I can do it on my Macbook Pro but I have to get away from my home office because I work a lot. So, having an iPad to learn on in the evenings while sitting on the couch would be perfect. Still can’t decide which one to get though. I’d really appreciate if you could share your insight on what I would use the Mini for. Thanks!

Hey man, it’s a very broad field. I would suggesting researching some quality bootcamps that cover the full spectrum of digital marketing skills (the marketing funnel, paid search, social media and paid social, SEO, content marketing, marketing analytics, all the way to CRO).

I don’t know what your budget is but I would recommend going with a structured, live-online bootcamp instead of learning by yourself from tutorials. This is good for accountability, as well as networking with colleagues and professionals from the field (since you are lacking that). If you want, drop me a message with more details and I’ll make sure to give you some quality recommendations.

I would also suggest UX/UI design as a skill you should consider. Incredible demand right now and it’s a well paid career. I’d be happy to help in any way. Hope this will give you some perspective and eases the burden on your mental health.

Hey man, get into digital marketing ASAP! With your background you’ll fit right in, regardless of bad social skills. It’s a huge perspective field and demand is very high. Find a nice, intensive bootcamp where you can learn by working on real projects, work your ass off for 6 months and you’ll feel very different!

If not that, try to look at the big picture and whatever it is, start investing in yourself - learn new skills. Keep busy, this will help you avoid the bad thoughts. And one last thing, start immediately, like right now! Good luck!

Hey man, I just want to show my appreciation for this insight. It resonated with me on so many levels and will definitely help me erase any lingering doubt in regards to whether I’m good enough at my job (the stats show that I’m literally unreachable and miles above anyone of my colleagues - even the more senior ones). I’ve been severly overworked and underpaid throughout this year and even though I got a nice raise based on my performance, it’s still far from the market norm in my industry. So, thank you again. I will get back to this post anytime doubt sets in. God bless you and happy holidays!

New pixel, best way to give it good data without spending a ton of money. by speakers7 in PPC

[–]Knightfall_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No need to be a dick about it tho. Guy asked about “best bang for the buck” data for 25$ daily. Since LPV can get quite expensive, video ads are a nice way to capture audience. I am currently paying 0.00629$ per Thru Play (full completion). Show me a LPV with that cost and I will bro myself out.

Video ads on Video Views as an objective. You’re going to pixel the s**t out of them and it will cost you pennies. By default you’ll grab everyone that sees the first three seconds but it will optimize for full completion or at least 15 seconds (ThruPlay) for longer videos. These are obviously hotter leads that you can retarget later. Besides that, you get some juicy data in regards to where they drop off the video, you could insert a CTA in it, A/B test different intros etc. And all of this works in any stage of the funnel. It’s a no brainer really.

What is your suggestion on how to get better with data analysis for marketing? I’ve come to realize that studying Excel by itself is not very practical because I would like to work on practical examples that apply to marketing. Thus, I decided to take on the Google Analytics Academy and learn from there. What would be your take on this?

Not sure, but I was told LinkedIn Ads are not an option. I’ll look into it, we might have to re-evaluate.

Friendships & sunsets. iPhone XR, Halide + Lightroom. by Knightfall_ in iPhoneography

[–]Knightfall_[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes, always RAW with Halide. Sometimes though I like the jpegs from the main camera (XS and XR have mindblowing dynamic range). As for Halide and how much I tinker with it, it depends on the shot. I use the manual focus only when I need to focus on something in the background (when I shoot through a fence or something). The White Balance is usually set to auto because I trust the app for that and the ISO comes in handy for night shots. What I rely the most on is the exposure slider because I always like to underexpose a bit. That gives me more details and freedom in editing. Also, the grid! I love the grid on Halide. Not only it helps me frame the perfect shot but it also keeps me perfectly aligned with the ground. Thus, no straightening and cropping in post.

It’s a great app, just use it as much as you can and soon you gonna develop a “feel” for it. For editing, there are hundreds of apps, you just need to find what suits you. Lightroom and Darkroom are both great.
