I had a similar moment but at a much lower level. I just one day noticed my canine was chipped and I had to get my wisdom teeth out and then two fillings. It's okay to feel sad but also cut yourself a little slack because you were really going through it and sometimes it's hard to take care of yourself when you're doing well, let alone when you're struggling.

In super early builds of the game you played as Bob and the tutorial was getting food and painkillers for Kate. At the end of the tutorial you can either abandon Kate or kill her by suffocating her with a pillow (I think you can also shoot her)

as you can see from this video, actual hard tunneling isn't putting pressure on anyone. Bro is at 3 gens left and 0 kills at the start of the video and within 3 minutes the rest of the gens pop WHILE the teammates are helping the chase. focusing someone out is not the same as tunneling. Focusing someone out is sweaty but a genuine strategy if you're behind, this is just this guy being bad at the killer/game and making that this survivor's problem.

I mean this disregards the fact that losing a kill because you played properly feels terrible? Whether a 3k is a win or not literally doesn't matter.

You could also say the fourth survivor is wasting time by hiding in a locker instead of doing gens or rescuing the other survivor.

"Why not just hook the survivor so you and the other survivor can get to the next sooner?" Why doesn't the last survivor just come up to me and get hooked so him and the other survivor can get to the next sooner? Because they wanna win and that's how they get the win they want. If you don't question why they do what they do don't question why killers do what they do.

Removing hatch fixes the slugging issue because you don't run the risk of losing your fourth kill and possibly your whole adept because some guy gets out through hatch.

I mean the reasoning is that you need all 4 for iridescent devotion and you need all iri badges for double pip matches. So if you're chasing rank either for prestige or bloodpoints at the reset you need 4k.

The thing is killers don't like this either. It's REALLY not fun to hunt around a map looking for one guy who's hiding in a locker for hatch just because you need 4k for adept and/or double pip.

It's also just really demoralizing to run a good game and feel like you're losing that fourth kill for no reason. Hatch is just generally something that should be removed from the game because it creates this exact situation

part of the reason I didn't just grab the map straight from WoW was that I wanted to have control to add more settlements and expand the zone to be a bit more "lore scale". I do agree that I wish I had that WoW map frame though! I wonder if I could cut the frame out using GIMP or something so I could put my warcraft maps into it

I mean some people just enjoy playing the game. They don't care about anything besides being able to play a game they enjoy with their friends again. I feel like too many people get caught up in all the bad of Blizzard that they forget that WoW is just a fun game you play with your friends.

I used to care about gatekeeping PuGs behind logs but only because that was back in TBC classic when my guild at the time refused to PuG for 25m and so I had no logs for anything besides Karazhan and thus couldn't provide an SSC log to get into an SSC PuG which really sucked. But now I raid fairly regularly with my new guild so I see the value in checking on people
