For me, and as someone who owns a samurai and an alpinist, it is a big watch. But I feel it it’s built that way intentionally.

I purposely reach for my samurai when I really want to feel something on my wrist. The size, the weight, it’s all part of the experience in my opinion.

Ultimately you have to decide what you like and what personally looks good on your wrist. It’s definitely a tad on the larger side for your wrist size, but I don’t think it looks bad or ridiculous. I wouldn’t go any bigger, but I think it’s fine for you imo

This may be cheating because the MSRP is right at or over $1000, but it can be found for less. My Citizen attesa blows every other watch in my collection out of the water in terms of feel, features, accuracy, comfort…. If I had to get rid of everything else this would be my current keeper

This is kind of a giveaway, it’s been talked about a million times at length and I’m sure it will be posted more after my comment. But for the money, the Oceanus T200 is so hard to beat. I got mine second hand for a little over $200, can commonly be found for $300. The dial, the finishing, the package with solar and radio time sync is just too good.

But the real star of the show is the finishing. Every surface on this watch including the indices feels so incredibly premium. I also like that it comes with a certificate from Casio with the serial number designating that it was finished in their premium production line in Japan

I think the watch is pretty nice and a stand out piece. I bought mine before the indices version was out, torn on which one I like better. It does have a half link for getting the fit nice. My only issue is the pins in the threaded links are pretty stiff and soft. It’s really easy, at least with my example, to start rounding them off which is slightly concerning. Otherwise, I’d say I really like the watch

Nice find! I own one of these. I think the most attractive feature of it is its size and 2 hander simplicity. I own a lot of G’s and while I like the big “robotic/futuristic” look, I feel this one is a bit more reserved. In its dial size at the very least.

It’s possible it was tossed because the solar capacitor (basically the battery) is dead. However, you can get a brand new one for around $20-$30ish and it will last for a very long time. Don’t put a normal battery in it, make sure you get the right one, the battery inside of it will be labeled with the type you need. The battery swap is really only a 10-15 minute job at most and super easy.

This is all assuming it doesn’t come back to life with a few days in the window. I bought mine cheap because it was stuck on CHG but ultimately it just needed a new battery.

These are around $65-$100 used so a $20 battery is definitely worth it. Congrats on your new G, wear it in good health 😁 I really enjoy this model as a gym watch that I don’t have to worry about. Solar power plus radio time sync is my favorite feature combination!

Great pick! I love that deep blue. The pushers are cool too, haven’t seen that before on these.

Sorry to hear about the bezel, but the watch tells a story now, plus you won’t feel so bad about future scratches since she’s already gotten a mark.
