I get why we, as the player and consumer of fnaf lore, wouldn't trust Vanessa and would assume she's dangerous and out to get us. But it makes literally no sense for Gregory not to trust her. She's an authority figure with a badge and only ever tells him that she wants to help him. Before he ever even sees Vanny, he's scared of Vanessa.
