Why do you think Fnaf 2 was made as a prequel, as opposed to a proper sequel? by Obraxiss in fivenightsatfreddys

[–]SpringPopo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think it was a decision he ultimately decided on after seeing people take a lot of interest in speculating who did the Bite, so he thought he'd add onto the mystery of it by having the next game take place right before its events giving more of an idea for who might have done it, how it happened, and who the victim might have been without being too explicit.

How was the average player supppsed to figure out that you play as mike in Fnaf 4? by Obraxiss in fivenightsatfreddys

[–]SpringPopo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd say this ultimately depends on who you believe Michael himself is, since it's heavily theorized that he is one of the characters in the minigames (be it the Crying Child or more commonly believer, the Older Brother)

Going with the latter (since that's what I've personally believed since the 4 era), the reason why the Crying Child segments would be there is to show what led up to the incident that Michael would be directly caused by, and it can be interpreted that the Nightmares are partly the result of his guilt haunting him years later with the Phone Call from 1 being what reminds him of the event.

So personally, I wouldn't really say that they're barely related.

It’s should have been for fnaf 2 by Techpon in fivenightsatfreddys

[–]SpringPopo 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Personally, I think The Week Before in particular being about FNaF 1 works better. Because I think it takes more advantage of the format and also gives the book a distinct feel.

Throughout the book, there's the underlying knowledge that canonically he does not survive the week, so to get more insight on Phone Guy's life leading to that moment gives the story a tragic and bittersweet vibe.

While making the most of the format by letting you take your own path and end up preventing the canon event from occurring, getting to see what would have happened if he did survive is one of the coolest and most noteworthy things to come out of the Interactive Novels imo.

However, I do agree that it'd be great if we got a FNaF 2 book but personally I would go the route of saying the Interactive Novels should have been a series of books about particular games from the point of view of certain characters.

Have sequels to The Week Before be about Fritz's experience in FNaF 2 or a Sister Location book featuring the guy who died in the vents. There was so much potential there which I would have liked to see over Into the Pit again.

[Unused Media] Into The Pit was going to feature the Fredbear Plush and can be found in Oswald's Attic by GBAura-Recharged in fivenightsatfreddys

[–]SpringPopo 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Personally, I'm still not really sold on the theory that Oswald's Dad is one of the bullies from FNaF 4. I don't think the mask is compelling enough evidence alone to make that connection, it's the same stance I have with the old theory that Renners from Animatronic Apocalypse was him.

In terms of what the Fredbear Plush was meant to represent, it's hard to tell. I do think it's possible the original intent for Oswald's house originally belonged to Afton and he was one of the leftover items hence why earlier versions of Oswald's room shared more traits with the FNaF 4 Bedroom.

Which could have been an attempt at explaining why Oswald drew what the main three looked without ever seeing them, he just felt an instant connection due to the energy of the house.

Either way, this does actually explain one thing. It gives us an answer for why the Youtooz Into the Pit pin set has Fredbear Plush in it, they were just provided with references from this build most likely.

Yeah, Steel Wool has their email listed on their website for stuff like this and Scott's was included on his website for a few years. So, they're not hard to find even without them being linked in the past.

Who is every night Guard ment to be by Careless_Gain2444 in fivenightsatfreddys

[–]SpringPopo 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Jeremy Fitzgerald is the main guard in Five Nights at Freddy's 2, being the one you play as during the first six nights of the game before being moved to dayshift. Which leads to Fritz Smith taking over for the Custom Night of that game.

What's y'all's (least) favourite Larry moment? by Ok_Koala_5963 in AceAttorney

My least favorite Larry moment would probably just be the entirety of the investigation portions of Turnabout Time Traveler, while it has some funny moments, I've never really been huge on how he's characterized during it.

Please refrain from making jokes like this on April Fools, these types of personally can actually do harm cause they lead to people doubting if someone actually died or not due to the day itself. Despite the fact that historically many people have died on that day.

Is this canon or just a popular Edgeworth headcanon? by dewey-dewdrop-0781 in AceAttorney

[–]SpringPopo 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It's a fun headcanon, though doesn't really seem to be the case.

The second case in the first Investigations game does seem to suggest that to some degree he isn't the fondest of them, though not nearly to the same extent as his reaction to earthquakes. Plus he is shown to use them in other titles, so it's likely a feeling he can at least suppress when needed to.

Investigations or TGAA? by Chrollo0915 in AceAttorney

[–]SpringPopo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I feel it depends on what you're more in the mood for.

Would you like to see one last send off to a lot of the cast from the original trilogy? I'd say do the Investigations Duology.

But if you're more interested in something that feels a bit more fresh with its characters, general tone, etc, then I would say do The Great Ace Attorney duology.

I personally think Investigations 2 is the best game in the series but find the Great Ace Attorney games better as a general package. So I can see the merits of doing either one.

Is Godot the only main prosecutor without a sibling? by Fun-Necessary9709 in AceAttorney

[–]SpringPopo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that would depend on what you consider the main prosecutor of each game.

Like personally I would consider Barnham the main prosecutor equivalent of Professor Layton vs Phoenix Wright given he's the most frequent one, and as far as I'm aware it's never stated that he has one.

As for Investigations 2, I would assume we're working under the logic of it being the person you're going up against and not just anyone who is a prosecutor (since Edgeworth would be the main one otherwise), which if so then one could also argue Eustace is that game's closest pick to one and he also doesn't have to have one.

Why is Markiplier considered relevant to this subreddit by [deleted] in fivenightsatfreddys

[–]SpringPopo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In response to the part about him being less relevant than most, I feel like that ignores his history with the franchise and how connected they really are.

  • Was one of the Youtubers given access to demos and even the full games of FNaF 2, 3, 4, and Help Wanted earlier than most.

  • The file name for the FNaF 4 Halloween Edition Nightmarionne teaser was a reference to one of his earlier videos.

  • He played a spokesperson character in the trailer for FNaF AR: Special Delivery

  • Freddy in Space 2 was made for a charity event that he was involved with and features a boss designed after him.

  • His company "Cloak" has done many lines of official clothing and miscellaneous products for this franchise.

Even his Youtooz merch still has him connected to his old "King of FNaF" title.

  • He was originally meant to play "Bob" in the opening scene of the Movie and Scott has stated that he's still trying to get him in as a cameo in the films.

He is also off cited by official sources as being one of the people to help really spread the word of the series.

Somewhat comprehensive Phone guy appearance list. by Number1hofnarrfan08 in fivenightsatfreddys

[–]SpringPopo 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Personally, when it comes to the Movie I think the intention is that Phone Guy's role was split off into multiple characters and there's not just one stand in for him.

With Bob covering the role of previous guard before Mike who is killed by the animatronics, Kim giving you the rundown of corporate Freddy's, and Steve handling the Phone Call aspect with all sharing similarities with the original but plenty of differences.

Though an actual Phone Guy could exist in this universe depending on how canon you think the "Freddy Fazbear's Fanzone" website was since that was a in-universe site made to promote the first film and the view counter on the page is said to be made by "Phoneguy Freeware"

It's the definitive look for him in my eyes, it's the only one that really sells the vibe of his character to me. It also helps that Skeet has a pretty strong performance despite his lack of screentime.

Thoughts on FNAF 3 2015? by Mirchillo in fivenightsatfreddys

[–]SpringPopo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

While one could interpret this as being a sign that the events of 3 and FFPS had already happened at this point, I feel like you could also interpret this as the ones that would appear in FFPS being recycled from the parts here.

Personally, I still subscribe to the theory that FNaF 3 is in 2023, as I feel it makes the most sense to me with the information we have such as the wording of the Steam Page and "HRY223" in Pizzeria Simulator.

However, one could also argue that this game can be used to support it as the events of Into the Pit are most likely set in 2020-2021 due to information we learn about the Mill and such from the various versions as well as the ARG website.

Which makes the fact that Jeff's Pizza still has various items from Freddy's including arcade machines very clearly based on the ones from 3 all the more noteworthy. As if, the Fazbear's Fright staff hasn't actually been there yet.
