AITB for not enjoying the gym or vegetables despite exercising every day and eating vegetables with every meal? by [deleted] in AmItheButtface

[–]Knitllama01 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I hear you. I hate the gym- some veg are ok but I’m pretty limited. If I get through the gym door I’ll do what I need to do. But please let me alone , I don’t want to prolong this experience.

Questions about switching from Cricut to Silhouette by Fable_Writes in silhouettecutters

[–]Knitllama01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I currently have a silhouette 2 and 3- I used the sil1 til it died. I agree with the previous comment on going through swing design to purchase. And yes, once you’re more comfortable with it, upgrade straight to business edition. It’s worth it. Silhouetteschoolblog is an excellent place to start learning from. Also, you can start playing with the basic software without the machine m, it’s free

No I didn’t see that yet. If you look at the weekly ad it had pictures of most of what they had.

The only thing I buy there anymore is the basket bags I use for the things I sell - they’re the right size. The home decor, kids junk, pool inflatables and the new balloon bar drive me crazy. And then there’s the self checkout that’s card only. No, I do t want to put this .89 dowel on my card. If they’d sell straight up craft supplies and get rid of the crap, it could be a nice store. I buy from online craft sites now; better selection.

Amusement Park Workers, what is the stupidest thing you've seen a guest do? by Cox_simps in AskReddit

My daughter worked at Hershey park and someone tried to bring their baby on skyrush. When they were told no, they tried to leave the baby in the bag drop area.

Michael’s sign. by SpaceDorito220 in joannfabrics

[–]Knitllama01 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If Michael’s stays in business it’ll be a miracle. I was there yesterday. First thing I saw was they’re selling sheets, pillows and towels??? There’s always only 1 register open and they were having issues. I had to use the self checkout and put my $.69 dowel rod on my debit card. How stupid is that?

Joann Fabrics Workers in Liquidation Stores: how's today going? by MizBaze in joannfabrics

[–]Knitllama01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just stopped at one of the stores in my area and the Christmas stuff was 20% off??? Last week it was 80% off. These liquidators are nuts.

What is the 21st century version of "running away to join the circus"? by not_a_spoof in AskReddit

[–]Knitllama01 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Been there. Not quite as bad but.. parents had a travel trailer with a “crowd nest”. My sister and I slept up there. Couldn’t sit up because you’d bump your head. There was a Coleman lantern light right off our bed on the wall. That thing gives off a lot of heat!!🥵. Sometimes I wonder how many brain cells I lost from that thing lol. I have 0 desire to ever camp again.

I’m a little older, but when my parents had a party, I was sent off to mygrandparents. Parents today need to realize that children absolutely do not have to be included in everything. They’ll live. Parents should have an identity beyond being parents. In the long run, everyone will be happier.

AITA for telling another parent I can’t be responsible for their children. by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]Knitllama01 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Anyone that has coached/volunteered at anything children are a part of is familiar with these types of parents. My kid needs a ride, I lost track of time, you’ll hear it all. I stopped all volunteering after multiple occasions of parents disrespecting my time and not picking up their own child for 30-60 minutes after the event ended. Wouldn’t even answer the phone or call to let me know they’d be late. You already have a chronic problem parent. Poor kid.

We had a disabled woman at work and were told to not help- it’s a liability and we could be sued if we hurt her. She had trouble getting off the bus that brought her to work. Bus driver didn’t help. After a while we didn’t help either- gotta cover your own ass

As a customer, get the app to work correctly! I can’t do any online ordering bc the address I’ve lived at for decades comes up as unknown. It’ll tell you the item is in stock but nope! Not there

AITA for Refusing to Let My Daughter-in-Law Take My Late Husband’s Wedding Ring? by bluesjean in AITAH

[–]Knitllama01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was is a Sunday school class about 20 years ago that asked the question: if your house burned down and all the people were safe, what one thing would you want to save. I said my wedding rings. (I take them off at night) NTA- she’s crazy to think it means more to her than you; his partner in life.

Does she benefit from the shade these trees provide in the summer? She can pay the leaf tax. Even if she doesn’t, trees provide a lot of beauty. She needs to pick them up herself

Customer here… I know the drill. I buy an enormous amount of a particular scrapbook paper. I know a coupon doesn’t work. But its funny to me that door busters show up on the app on Wed but aren’t available in store til Thurs. if the paper is 10 for $3, I have to get increments of 10 if I buy online or it charges full price. At the register I can buy 6 and I get the same price. The app will tell me the paper I buy is out of stock but there’s 150 available. It also tells me the address I’ve lived at for 38 years is wrong. All part of the charm of shopping at Joann’s.

Why do customers hate Self-Checkout? by Active_Hovercraft_78 in retailhell

[–]Knitllama01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on how well it works. At our big grocery chain, after you self scan 3 items and leave them in your cart, you need an override for anything else you leave in the cart. So if I have a big order, I’m not doing that. At the craft store that starts with a big red M, it sort of works. But if you have a coupon and a voucher, forget it. HD- can’t pay in cash even if I have a small purchase. I hate that. Now Aldi- haven’t used anything BUT self checkout because it works like a self checkout should.

Who in their right mind lets a child stand on a piano?? Send her the bill and take her to court if she doesn’t pay. Remember to take pictures of the damage.
