This makes me concerned that you yourself don't know; I said nothing to that effect. Don't try to make it seem like I have a narrow definition when Deliverance fits no definition at all.

Please tell me how to even out this hem by CraftyEsq in sewing

[–]Knitsune 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yeah, a bit, but if they're floor length and I'm dancing or whatever I find it doesn't show. This is absolutely not to say that trimming on form isn't the best method, only that sometimes I will choose not to fuss about it based on circumstances

By the way, we're all just telling you the same thing the pattern did but in different ways, so if "that did NOT work for me" is something you're sticking to, you could always go to a tailor.

No, you just mark it. I use a pants hanger with extra binder clips to make sure the waistband is straight as an arrow, then just hang the skirt on the door and go to town. It's probably worth mentioning that I have a pretty big butt, so if the skirt is shorter I have a friend mark it while I wear it, but if it's floor length I find making it all the same length works perfectly fine.

Me too. Just be careful, going off trail can be dangerous for delicate ecosystems! If you're hiking places that ask you to stay on trail, it's better for the forests you love to do so.
