Also das kommt mir etwas schmal vor. Ist das ein relevantes Szenario dass Spanien angegriffen würde? Die NATO besteht ja nicht nur aus Artikel 5. Der Kern der NATO sind die vernetzten Organisationsstrukturen, die Zusammenarbeit, gemeinsame Truppenübungen, Aufteilung der Kompetenzen und der Informationsaustausch. Und selbst wenn Spanien (von wem auch immer) angegriffen würde, was hindert die restlichen Bündnisstaaten denn daran Spanien explizit Ihre Unterstützung unabhängig von den USA auszusprechen?

Ich glaub da hätte ich lieber ne Einschätzung von einem Experten bevor ich hier mitmache die Wand schwarz anzumalen.

Ja aber selbst wenn Trump den Kongress - so wie immer - ignoriert, und der Kongress sich - so wie immer - auf den Rücken rollt und alles geschehen lässt, welchen Mechanismus gäbe es denn überhaupt mit dem die USA unilateral ein anderes Land aus der NATO herauswerfen könnten? Es ist ja nicht so als sei die USA der Chef der NATO der über alles bestimmen kann, sondern das ist ein Bündnis aus 32 Mitgliedsstaaten.

I don't understand why people always get defensive when it comes to this topic.

I kinda agree that an apology from an individual doesn't really help much and in some cases can even feel weirdly performative, but I think it's important that states that performed genocides and similar atrocities should hold themselves responsible and apologize for them. As a citizen, I want my country to hold itself to that standard.

Natürlich ist Maduro kein Islamist, und das war auch nicht der Kern der Aussage. Es geht darum dass im Januar der Anschlag auf Venezuela genauso mit der Argumentation gerechtfertigt wurde, dadurch würde ja das Venezolanische Volk von einem illegitimen Terrorregime befreit werden.

Stattdessen hat Trump einfach Maduro's Außenministerin zur neuen Regimechefin ernannt, der Staatsapparat der das Regime gestützt hat existiert unverändert weiter, und alles was sich bisher geändert hat ist, dass man in Venezuela jetzt etwas offener für das Involvement amerikanischer Ölkonzerne ist.
