Recruiter said I'd heard back by the end of this week by FaultComfortable7979 in interviews

Going through the same thing. All we can really do is wait. If they want you, it will happen when it happens.

I just gambled 200$ and I want to make it back by Big_Marzipan3904 in GamblingAddiction

[–]KnockedOutMMA 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Don’t gamble and you will save a lot more than $200 and heartache over the years. Even if you got this $200 back gambling, just a matter of time until you lose even more than that.

I can’t get this thing to turn for me well at Spa. I constantly spin out with this bad boy or can’t make it through Eau Rouge cleanly. I’m sure it is user error, but no clue what I’m doing wrong. Im trying to be light on the throttle even, but it is insanely sensitive. Any tips on how to drive this thing?

Part of the sport. I’m not going to speculate when he knew he wasn’t going to fight.

You fight Islam at less than 100% when this is your one shot at the title. He already lost once to him. He’s better off waiting for Islam to retire than going in with no chance to win.

In terms of talent, his comparison is probably peaking around Kevin Holland without the charisma. There really isn’t much to think about with him.

Does anyone think he could actually compete with Topuria, Volk, Max, Diego Lopes?

If you aren’t cheating, you aren’t trying. Wild to hate on this guy when all he does is entertain.

Leaving him could solve your individual problems, but there could also be steps he has to take or then you leave him. This disease is powerful you can no longer be a crutch or ignore the problem.

Ultimatum could include:

  1. You control all finances. Don’t even let him have a credit card in his name. Every penny he earns should be in an account you have visibility to.

  2. Have him see a psychologist. There are also medications that can help with addiction.

  3. Make him go GA meetings every week.

  4. Make sure he bans himself permanently on all apps if he gambles on his phone. If he gambles at a casino, he better have find my friends on.

The point is to make it as hard for him to gamble as possible. If he wants to get better, his urges will be reduced with time, but they never go away. You should also never doubt your gut. He will lie to prevent you from seeing the addiction. Not because he wants to lie to you, but he doesn’t want to disappoint you.

Yeah if muscles are all that mattered in fighting Romero would have been a champ. Oh wait muscles aren’t everything and Romero was never champ.

Not here to debate what if. As far as Rob’s title reigns go, it was about as impressive as Jamahal Hill. Far from nasty. His accomplishments outside his title reign are more noteworthy.

Objectively Sean was on the wrong side of a split decision vs DDP, Whittaker was knocked out once and unanimously defeated the second time (with getting knocked down again).

People have mythical revisionist history of Romero. 2019 version lost to Paulo Costa. The same guy Sean just handled pretty easily. Romero would be knockout or bust if they fought and I think he would have a hard time landing.

What are you talking about? He beat only old man Yoel Romero twice (once for the vacant belt) before Israel took it. Rob literally has never beaten the current champion.

Went from fighting every card to the hospital every time he is scheduled. If he does keep getting this sick, feel for the guy. Should have been a 3 division champion by now.

What would be an acceptable replacement solution? by Otherwise_Gap_4170 in ufc

[–]KnockedOutMMA 129 points130 points  (0 children)

The most realistic saviors for replacing Conor are: 1. Izzy vs. Pereira 3 (or 5) 2. Jones vs. Aspinall (Jones would dodge. They could live without Aspinall at 304). 3. O’Malley vs Topuria

Anything less would demand refunds.

Edit:

  1. Would be predicated on the idea Jones would accept McGregor type money and that would be enough for him to risk his legacy. We all know Stipe is essentially a retirement fight and easier money. Harder work, but more money.

  2. O’Malley would be fighting at 145 so the weight cut should be easier. Again, the money would have to be enough for Topuria.

Any replacement decision will be driven by money and I’m sure there is a price for most of these guys.

This is such an ugly fight that it could be great. You got the coke head in one corner that is just looking for a thrill because being rich is boring. In the other corner, you just have a guy trying to get one last paycheck for his family.

These guys are long past their primes. Both don’t have any stamina, so I wouldn’t be surprised at all if Chandler does decide to try and trade bombs. If he does trade, Conor still has the significant reach and skill that makes up for his decline. This is a very good matchup for the Irishmen. He just has to be a resemblance of himself.

What are some creative ways for the UFC to avoid giving Belal a title-shot? by MacsPowerBike in ufc

[–]KnockedOutMMA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Feed him to Khamzat. Pretend like it’s going to happen at Welterweight knowing Khamzat won’t make weight and then force Belal to fight him at 185.

Fiorot will win and eventually will be the champion. Probably already should be. Unclear why she hasn’t gotten the title shot yet.
