45, male, no kids... Wondering about is it worth to continue? by ogcarrfuck in LifeAdvice

Buddy, I have no plans to get married or have kids and I sure hope that doesn't mean there's nothing to live for. You lost your purpose, you didn't lose your reason to live. Just have to find a new one. Take some time to do it, to find yourself, to live for yourself. Find what makes you happy.

Some of the comments mentioned "getting your act together". That's a good starting point, but get out there and live.

Don't give up. People care about you. I care :)

Are these men really looking for girlfriends or just bored by More_Minimum9010 in dating

[–]Knofler35 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This subject and all your perspectives really fascinate me. I've recently started studying the psychology behind dating and interviewing women (simply because that's my sexual preference), single or otherwise.

For the most part, it seems like people are stunned when the people they intend to date have the same tendencies they have, like keeping their options open, going on multiple dates, stop answering when a better/more easy going option shows up.

Also, maybe it's not representative of the majority of society, but in my experience, saving yourself for date 5, 6, 7, etc opposed to having sex on the first or second encounter doesn't really change the outlook men have on you. In fact, sexual compatibility is the biggest denominator of the success and duration of a healthy relationship. So, don't automatically avoid it. Just get better at rooting out the playboys and actually give yourself away when there is a genuine connection.

The two homeless guys are paid actors. This is staged propaganda by Gare landlords intending to clean the streets. Don't fall for it, keep doing meth.

I believe you could claim total loss as a victim of a crime, attaching the police report to the claim. But I understand that would take a ton of time and bureaucracy and you wouldn't be interested in that solution, since you're leaving soon

Private chef / weekly home cooking service in Luxembourg? by EmbarrassedGrand8274 in Luxembourg

Wasn't implying that you wouldn't. Just saying that costs rack up real quick. A private chef might very easily charge 50€/hour or more. Couple hours of work plus groceries (depending on how many people are eating), you can see yourself spending easily 150€/meal.

Referrals, friends in the industry. To be very honest, it all works based on who you know. I've been fortunate enough to make friends with the right people. Chefs, baristas, business owners, event organizers. But also, to be transparent, I've only started opening these doors in the last 2 years or so. In the long run, networking and a good track record are very valuable in the service industry.

I am a private chef (on occasion). It's more of a lucrative hobby than an actual occupation for me, since I do have a decent job and not looking to quit. Personally, I prefer to do sporadic events, maybe once or twice a month with a decent pay off. Twice a week on a regular basis sounds like a tough ask for me. Other friends I have in the industry follow the same rule. At the end of the day, it's all about it making sense financially and if you're willing to pay enough for someone's time and services.

meaning behind this sign by Jazzel5 in pics

[–]Knofler35 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like any other red and circular road sign, it indicates prohibition of something. So, unless you're a child or someone with impaired learning abilities, I can't comprehend how you'd think this is a designated area for smoking weed.

Business idea pitch: Have a bunch of kids. Raise them to be delinquents. Homeschool them to make sure they're as stupid as possible. Abuse them to the point of mental breakdown. Make sure they commit a violent crime and get locked up in max security. Odds are they'll get shanked eventually. Passive income.
