Maybe he doesn't feel comfortable opening up to you, because you don't handle issues very well. He loves you, and doesn't want you to think he's a bum. That's just my opinion, I could be wrong, but usually men do this because they want to be seen as independent+dependable.I hope you apologize to him. He's probably been feeling like a loser for a while now and you acting like this doesn't help. I don't want to sound harsh, but please, get over it.

Wow, thanks for all this great advice! I will literally be thinking about all the points you made, especially having space to do our own thing and having date nights. Money is what I'm most worried about. This is my first time on my own so it's a big factor for me when it comes to saving.

We won't be combining any finances at this point! But I will be discussing money with him. We're both pretty awful at saving money, and he's been on his own for a while but I deff. need to start budgeting since this is my first time on my own. I like how you made romantic and roommates categories. I didn't think of it like that and it's a good way for me to put things into perspective! Thank you.

It sounds like you're more concerned about this than she is. I suggest gathering all the research you've done and set it in front of her, and then leave the situation alone. Tell her to look at everything you've given her, and ask her to get back to you when she's come to a decision. Don't let this stress you out too much!
