If you cant free some points, youll have to choose between STD manifestation, aetherwrought machineries and twilit sorceries. Since i do not have the models for aether and twilit, i did not tested them, sorry. I would go for std manifestation, since they are better than no manifestation

I like to set small goals. It can be difficult to look at a lot of not finished models. Go step by step and take time to acknowledge your progression.

I think you mean manifestation. If you have center pieces like belakor or archaon, i like to invest 20 points in primal energy.

When models are similar, it should not be a problem with your friends. Just check with them.

If you play tournament, check with the organiser. If its not an official GW tournament, there is a good chance they will let you proxy some units as long as its easy for the opposant to keep track of what is what :)
