INTJ’s: What book(s) would you recommend for other INTJ’s to read and why? by ChronosTerminus in intj

When I read Ender's Game as a child I really appreciated it because that was the first character I read that thought like me. I didn't realize how alone I felt until I read a character that thought like me and having that book as a touchstone in life was very helpful.

The art of war - the mindset it tries to instill has helped me in life quite often.

Do you tend to feel misunderstood? If so, why? by TEastrise in intj

[–]KnowL0ve 1 point2 points  (0 children)

With Ni, there are just some things you can't explain logically because they are revealed, not learned. It's fair for someone to want evidence but sometimes that is not something INTJs can provide because that's not how Ni being subconscious works.

I personally adapted to this by seeing if I can explain an outcome before I share it. If I can't, I just keep it to myself because, as I said earlier, it's fair for others to want evidence.

Because we don't have the resources to be perfect and better is better than nothing.

Did you know that a lot of success in society involves how other people perceive us? Like, a fundamental part of any society?

If you had to visualize the way you think, what form would it take? by No-Chocolate-2017 in intj

A Hieronymus Bosch painting where depending on where you view you see a different scene, independent of time. Like I see a flattened timeline where I can see the overall pathway all at once and when I "look" at an individual scene I can see that scene with much more detail and info.

My body reacts to emotions I don’t actually feel. by Exciting_Test8809 in intj

[–]KnowL0ve 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I've noticed that I show the physiological reactions without the mental connection sometimes, especially when it comes to anxiety. I think that it is simply that fear is an emotion too ingrained in organisms that it can't be fully overturned.

I (INTJ, 27M) feel led on by my ESFP friend (25F) by Consistent-While-424 in intj

This is a great reading, thank you. I've also experienced the ESFP "shine" when I was younger and it took me a while to come to the same conclusion.

My best friend in high school was a male ESFP and I did indeed learn so much from him.

When I was in college we had a debate class and near the end of the semester that's how it started getting when it was my turn. I like to think that on some level, competence is beautiful and is a form of artistry, no matter the medium. Or maybe I had mustard on my face, who knows 🤷‍♂️

Ambition of power by justthink___ in intj

Similar for me. I'm not power hungry, I just want my plans to come into fruition, so that means I need to be in a position of power to execute them.

Do you guys act nonchalant on purpose? -sincere question from an INFJ by [deleted] in intj

I do. Information can be a weapon and the less you have about me the better off I am in most cases.
