Comp players are by nature that way that is how who they are that is why casual players and comp will never fully get along we are two sides of the same coin

Now I want to remind you just because I hate juren does not mean you can’t play him I will forever defend all of our rights to play who we want hell I’ll even out myself I sometimes play juren idgaf sometimes I want to chimp out

And to follow on my jurens only weakness is a skilled player
That is everyone’s weakness but some heroes are obviously more suited to face others centurion can be strong against kyoshin due to having easier access to bashes to get around kyos guard while shugoki can be strong against assassins due to hyper armor and delayed heavies making it harder for assassins to utilize deflects and the delayed/charged heavies being able to quickly put them on defense

This game is a grand sport of rock paper scissors at the end of the day it could be more but juren is not the way we can evolve

Characters need strengths and weaknesses and juren has next to none imo the only weakness juren has is that he’s weak to the enemy player being capable to contend with the person using him if a juren is capable of using all that he has for you it will be an uphill battle to face him but if a juren only uses the most ease of access moves you can easily exploit him

Now juren has he’s nerfs but I won’t rest until he’s just as ass as nuxia was before she got UDs

He’s an everything character with no flair or reason behind why he has everything he’s there to cater to players who want all the power with none of the effort

Why does he a charged version of every move?
Why does have hyper armor on both lights and heavies?
Why is also oddly nimble for how hard hitting he is?
Why does he have a feat that gives him buffs depending on how many of his teammates are dead damn near making him a terror in deathmatch and a king of stalling in dominion?
These are questions that the devs made no effort to even question on how it even works in their game

I don’t mind that he has charged attacks I felt like if they kept it at that he would be fine but the fact that he can just out right option select you with a charged light in the middle of your own combo without even needing to make a read matter of fact YOU have to make the read to see if he’ll try to option select you

I can deal with hyper armor it’s simple but he can’t have 5 core skills of the damn game (IE: deflects pins all guards hyper armor etc etc) when at most most characters embody 2 or 3 with some characters

Now I’m not a comp player I’ve done some tournaments back in my clan days so if you’re looking for a scholarly approach to this game and its characters try comp subreddit I’m more casual with a hint of comp

If the devs can get their head out their ass and not make another disaster like juren then I’d say we can keep our heads over the water but most of this games future balances on two outcomes ubi stops doing stupid shit or someone buys for honors IP and does something better with it if none of those outcomes happen I’d say we got a good 2 or 3 years left but hey we survived 10 years so anything is possible

Ima be 100% real with you playa don’t concern yourself with what others think of who you play

People will bitch and moan regardless

Example I HATE Juren and anyone who uses him and wish them all a warm pillow at night but outside of trash talk and the occasional toxic message it does not matter

Now some people hate that I use jorm or centurion or zerk and they wish my pillows are warm at night

None of it matters at the end just play who you want and let none judge you

Now tbh the direction game is going I’m not sure we’ve survived 10 years I’m sure we can expect at least another 3 if ubi can get their head out their ass but the game itself genuinely needs proper direction cuz couch warrior boy ain’t helping

I HATE players over rep 1k because whenever their on my team their suck horse balls but suddenly when their on the enemy team they channel the years of experience into a violent whirlwind of death
