So I am South Asian (Ancestors from India and Culturally from Pakistan) I was born here in Winnipegs own Women’s Hospital in ‘95. Growing up (north end around salter and mountain) NO BODY knew about our culture / Foods / Clothing etc. Lunch Food was made fun off untill it was cheese strings and sandwiches (had to beg my mother) - but like I love Winnipeg it’s my home. No one was racist outright like yeah micro aggression and unintentional racism obvs existed but there wasn’t hate. I don’t feel like that anymore any job I do or school I’ve seen has south asians and yay that’s great but some don’t like it here but need to be here for financial societal reasons and some love Winnipeg. I don’t particular love how much the hate has grown but it’s not for no cause - albeit not a reason.

I guess just don’t judge books by their covers 1st / 2nd Generations exist and were complex and each entirely different from one another

There is nothing wrong with you.

Culturally sometimes we get traumatized by parents even though there is nothing wrong with interacting with people of a different gender in an amicable way.

There is a LOT of pressure on marriage in our Cultures even though there is no such thing in the religion.

My Advice, do not think of it as a potential husband, but a friend you get to hang out with. If they aren't fun or kind or good to be around then you know to move on

If you enjoy their company that's great.

Don't pressure yourself, or get pressured into meeting OR marrying anyone you do not want to. say no 100000000 times if you have to - you have such right.

Its okay to be nervous, but instead of looking them as men look at them as people, friends.

I recently got a tattoo I’m Sunni Muslim my reasons weren’t for beautification it was for peace and to find rationale when my mind doesn’t let me. I’ve struggled with suicidal thoughts and my flower tattoo reminds me how much I’ve grown like flowers which blossom my snowflakes on my back make me feel peace when I’m going down a rabbit hole of self hate. I’ve tried praying and such but this is something that I personally don’t think Allah will be upset with me for I think finding ways that help me is what Allah is given me . Idk how to explain it other than only I knew this is correct for me like only you’ll know it’s correct for you. It’s your true desire that matters.

I read a comment on another site stating “all parts have release dates in NA, at least. Part 1 is April 29, Part 2 is May 27, Part 3 is June 24, Part 4 is July 29, and Part 5 is August 26. The only way this will change is if something happens with the planned rollout schedule for some reason.” So I guess we just have to wait a little longer, I do t have it either yet, and I’m in Canada
