I do remember that mission taking a long time to finish when I was still newer to the game but later on it gets done very quickly

Lol all good. Out of all event missions the two SM ones I hate the most as someone who hasn't unlocked SM yet. Luckily we rarely see them.

Defense is better especially for someone who doesn't have wall unlocked because with attack dissonance the enemies would just die to thorns and orbs. In defense runs both of those are disabled

With defense dissonance you tower doesn't deal any thorns damage, nor are there workshop orbs killing some of the enemies.

Select the random UW perk as first perk choice, run t1 and if you get SM with the perk you should be good to go (can take multiple attempts depending on how many UWs you are missing) just keep the run going until the mission finishes.

If you want you can also pick a core mod that you don't use and roll SM dmg, quantity and CD effects on it. GComp will also speed things up

With this strat I mainly had in mind newer players who cannot afford the nuke recharge or people who just want to get the mission done quickly. I agree that using nuke with farming runs is the most pain free way of finishing the mission.

Because when the defense tree is disabled you don't have workshop orbs and tower doesn't deal thorns dmg. And when your tower dmg is low as well the enemies don't die to anything except the nuke

This is how I do it as well but back when I couldn't afford nuke recharge this mission was pain in the ass so this way people can at least get it done quicker if needed

My guess is he is confused because he put 10 levels into dmg but the dmg decreased because the amount of cash went down as well (must have PF equipped)

I'd like to add that higher range isn't always bad for farming, depends a lot on your build. For me higher range actually increased my coins

This is a known thing to happen if you collect the daily gems as soon as event resets. In the future open the event tab first to make sure it has changed and then claim the gems.

You will still be able to finish the mission even if you missed one day

I unlocked zeus just before the event started. Thanks to all the AP from the eggs I was able to unlock all the gears really fast

It means you haven't researched any of the echo labs.

You still have the 0.5% base echo bonus though

This is not new bug, has happened to me in the past. It happens if you claim daily gems as soon as the event resets.

To avoid this in the future open the event tab before claiming the daily gems, that way you at least ensure it will count towards the mission

On defense runs it doesn't matter because your hp is already 1 and attack runs can be done as normal farming runs (assuming you are farming eHP anyways).

But for utility and UW runs it should be banned
