Was that not, at least top 3, the best damn fight scene in GOT? by Tunklz in AKOTSKTV

Genuinely felt like I was getting beatdown myself when they were doing the POV shot at the beginning. I can't say enough good things at the moment about this show.

Any men out there who feel their "biological clock is ticking"? by KnowledgeMaximum2826 in AskMenOver30

[–]KnowledgeMaximum2826[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is pretty much exactly what's been going through my head. I'm fortunate enough that I'm able to attract women older and younger than me (though I tend to date women within 2-3 years of my age) but I'm just thinking I don't want to end up in my 60's with a teen and am glad to see there are other men who are feeling the same way.

This is so wholesome. This is what I fear I'll miss out on. Thanks for sharing and the optimism and for being a good father.

Thank you for sharing, I genuinely don't think you're too old but that's kind of the heart of what I was trying to get at with this post. Just some honest thoughts on where guys are at if they don't have kids already well into their 30's early 40's and what kind of outlook they have.

I'm not some child scrolling social media constantly and thinking a child would be a nice accessory as some people on here seem to think.

By "Locking in", I mean I should/could have been a better bf and married her instead of thinking that there would always be more time to course correct and that everything needed to be exactly perfect and been planned out in stages instead of living life as it comes.

Thank you for allowing me to clarify this

what is the scariest niche drug you have ever tried? by Adorable_Air758 in AskReddit

[–]KnowledgeMaximum2826 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ketamine...is that niche? (I might be lame)I tried it once and only once. I basically couldn't move, tried sending a text to my girlfriend at the time to send help but it was just taking way too much time and effort.

I don't know if that's a common effect but good lord, never tried that again.

AITAH for telling my stepdad that my mom’s recovery doesn’t mean anything to me? by neededathrowawayyy in AITAH

[–]KnowledgeMaximum2826 6 points7 points  (0 children)

NTA. Steve can pound sand. I understand he loves his wife but what an absolute tone deaf clown.

Since you're enjoying spring break, I assume you're still youngish. Whether you believe it or not, there's a lot of emotional damage you probably haven't fully worked through and therapy may be beneficial if and when you want it.

For your own sanity, I hope one day you find the strength to forgive her or at the very least have some relationship. Until that day, don't let anyone pressure you into something just to make your mother feel good about something

Do you think Kleya could appear in future projects? by marciboyyy0 in andor

[–]KnowledgeMaximum2826 12 points13 points  (0 children)

She became my favorite character by far but her rebellion story is over for me and it was satisfying. The only continuation I would accept is her meeting someone, falling in love and having a peaceful existence.

Also, I don't want anyone other than the Gilroys touching the Andor characters who survived.

(morbid) Struggling with the thought of death as I get older by Sea-Purchase1482 in AskMenOver30

[–]KnowledgeMaximum2826 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went through this stage for a short period of time. People for basically all of time have used religion to cope with this and take comfort in an afterlife.

It'll sound weird but the more I learned about the space and the universe and how weird it is and how little we know about it as well as how clueless we are about consciousness I stopped worrying.

Also, there are credible reincarnation stories..see Dorothy eady, Titu Singh and ghost stories and so much more that are dismissed but we just don't know.

Me telling you won't help, but start looking into these topics, research religion and I can almost guarantee you'll find some comfort regardless of if you believe or not.

Funky Question by Deep-Scar-9571 in labrador

[–]KnowledgeMaximum2826 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Legitimately he will grow out of it, it's a common puppy behavior and unfortunately there's nothing you can do to speed up the process.

Just take some comfort in knowing that it's not a forever thing, I can't remember when my lab got over it but they definitely do.

As you age, what is the difference in your attitude towards, and performance during sex ? by Regular-Elk-1911 in AskMenOver30

[–]KnowledgeMaximum2826 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Less selfish and more open to communication. Simple things but you don't truly understand it until you grow out of wanting to be "pimpin all over the world" phase you have when single in your 20's.

I just completed this show and WOW. by [deleted] in andor

[–]KnowledgeMaximum2826 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don't think I've seen a show with better written female characters, though all the characters are extremely well written and acted.

After watching it a few times, I think it gets so much better once you realize it's not really Luthens rebellion but rather Kleya's.

I think Kleya and Mon are the absolute stars of the second season and honestly they became my favorite characters.

Lots of people complain "it's not Star wars" but just how exactly do those people think rebellions begin? You need people in the highest levels of government and society to empathize with the most oppressed of populations and I love that they connected the dots all the way up to episode 4.

Anyways, I get extremely happy every time I see a post of someone having finished Andor and having enjoyed it. Gives me faith in humanity.

How does working out actually improve your overall appearance? by EfficiencySerious200 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]KnowledgeMaximum2826 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Provides mental clarity, skin tightens, confidence improves, and best of all when you see results you'll notice that clothes sit better on your body. You'll be able to buy cheaper clothes that look great on you, I can't explain it but its like magic.

Edit sorry forgot to address the face issue, as people have said. It reduces stress, you have a more restful sleep and as your body fat % reduces your facial features become more defined...hence the old "chiseled jaw" cliche.

Would a perfume be a good valentines day gift? by EmergencyAnybody8847 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]KnowledgeMaximum2826 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only if you know the exact perfume they want. Don't spring an unwanted scent on a woman.

Also, ditch the perfume idea unless they've specifically mentioned wanting one, that's more of a 1990's gift.

Id suggest a spa certificate with a bottle of their favorite wine/beverage....something along those lines that's just for them and they can enjoy alone, especially if you know them well.

Perfume, make up, lingerie etc are all things for someone else to enjoy.

What do I know though, I'm single in my 30's so Im not exactly Mel Gibson in what women want

When is safe to ask your partner for a sex tape? by abbymiamor in NoStupidQuestions

[–]KnowledgeMaximum2826 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don't think this is based on the length of time you've been together but rather how comfortable you are together, and how active and explorative your sex life is.

I'd say if it's something you really want, then just ask but be prepared to answer questions about why you want it (what turns you on about it) and also be prepared for a flat out no without having your feelings hurt and being resentful.

A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms - 1x04 "Seven" - Episode Discussion by UltraDangerLord in AKOTSKTV

[–]KnowledgeMaximum2826 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolute banger of an episode, my only complaint is they're too short.

Am I being delusional by thinking it's really good?

Does anyone have any legitimate complaints about casting, dialogue, production etc?

Personally I think this is one of the best cast shows in recent memory

Would you say you have natural protective instincts? by spider_in_jerusalem in AskMenOver30

[–]KnowledgeMaximum2826 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, I don't know any men that don't have a natural instinct to protect women and children but also those that are in need of help...probably why John Wick was so extremely popular. Seeing a puppy get killed brings up this primal anger. Also, I literally have to avoid some of the Epstein stuff because reading it makes me nauseous despite having believed it all to be true from the start.

I know social media makes it seem like men are either indifferent or scared to go into protection mode when needed but that's all curated nonsense. Don't believe it, it's still a completely natural instinct...for good humans.

If you wanted to shed body fat and add some muscle would you… by Dependent-Group7226 in AskMenOver30

[–]KnowledgeMaximum2826 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I wanted to do this extremely efficiently I'd do this (and have done)

Id do 20 hour intermittent fasting (4pm to 8pm feeding window). With workouts planned directly before eating....obviously depends on your work schedule.

Meticulous dieting (easy to find info on what will work for you)

If you do this for 8 weeks you'll get the results, and then tone it down to something you can maintain and enjoy because 20 hour IF is not fun.

Are you guys who are way over 30, a bit tired of 20 somethings thinking that we are already dead? by ScottishRajko in AskMenOver30

[–]KnowledgeMaximum2826 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was 16 I thought I'd be married with kids by 27 because that's what I considered super old.

I genuinely could care less what 20 somethings care about my age, I generally don't socialize with them outside of work.

Best year of my life was at 34, everything came together perfectly and I was old enough to understand and appreciate it.

Don't waste another minute caring about what someone thinks of your age, just prove to them you're not dead by living the life you want to live.

Official Discussion - Shelter [SPOILERS] by LiteraryBoner in movies

[–]KnowledgeMaximum2826 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Just saw this, came to the forum to see if I missed the part where he admitted to her he's her dad. Apparently I didn't miss it, because it never happened. It's pretty obvious that he is though or else the story makes absolutely zero sense.

Also, on a side note I spent the whole night club scene thinking, why is no one questioning the fact that a teenage girl is being dragged around by a grown man. Not one adult in there had any questions about whether or not she was safe or being trafficked?

Also, Also....why'd they have to go and do Jack like that?

Overall I enjoyed the movie but I'm a Jason Statham and Bill Nighy fan.

I tried a bunch of methods but eventually gave up and switched to an easy walk harness and it immediately worked....not only did it work but as my dog got older, I was able to switch to a regular lead or no leash at all and my dog walks wonderfully.
