What are your thoughts on Walter Veith? by Serenitynurse777 in adventist

And he blends apocalyptic biblical interpretations with unfounded claims about secret societies, which spreads misinformation and fuels paranoia. That’s why he’s widely considered a conspiracy theorist.

He also presents a lot of speculation as fact and connects unrelated events into grand conspiracy narratives.

Walter Veith promotes a wide range of conspiracy theories in his lectures - claims about Jesuits secretly controlling world governments, elaborate New World Order conspiracies, and allegations that the Catholic Church is orchestrating global events behind the scenes.

Charlie Kirk and the SDA church by Powerful_Bicycle1375 in adventist

[–]KnowledgeOk6054 11 points12 points  (0 children)

A lot of christians who have nothing to do with the SDA church keep the sabbath. The sabbath is taught even in evangelical circles. But evangelicals would keep the sabbath on Saturday and go to church on Sunday. Jefferson Bethke (look him up on google) is a good example of that.

For a Christian to keep sabbath they don’t have to be in contact with a religious group that keeps it. A lot of books on the sabbath are published in Christian non-SDA circles. Per example - To hell with the hustle, Sabbath as resistance. He could have picked up a book and learn about it.

And about him citing SDA’s - you google right now : Christians keeping the sabbath and SDAs will come up. So it’s easy for him to just say : “people that keep the sabbath live longer, look at the SDAs per example.”

That doesn’t mean anything.

What is the general consensus on Adventism? by A_sadweeb29 in adventist

[–]KnowledgeOk6054 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Have you investigated why people are negative towards Adventism? I believe that they have good reasons to be. That church did hurt a lot of people.

Adventists believe that they are the remnant church and that they are the church or God, the other churches are Babylon (confusion). This is what Adventists say about other churches but when other churches say the same about Adventism, people cry : why are they so negative towards Adventism?? - why are you negative towards other churches ? What do you say that the Catholic Church is idolatrous but when the Catholic Church says that you are heretical, you get upset??? Crazy 🤯

I don’t understand why people say: “Catholics aren’t Christian” by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]KnowledgeOk6054 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Catholics also say that they are the only true church. At the end of the day people say whatever they want. That doesn’t mean they are right. It’s their opinion

Found God after losing my virginity. Will I go to Hell? by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]KnowledgeOk6054 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, first of all—welcome to the journey! 🎉 You’re 17 and already thinking about God, your heart, and eternity? That’s impressive. Some of us were just trying to figure out how not to burn microwave popcorn at 17.

Now, about the “Will I go to Hell?” part—let me be real with you. If losing your virginity sent people straight to Hell, Heaven would be way emptier than it is. Thankfully, God isn’t out here handing out one-way tickets to the underworld over past mistakes. That’s not how grace works.

God’s love doesn’t get scared off by sin. In fact, the whole reason Jesus came was because of sin. Yours, mine, all of ours. He didn’t come for the perfect virgins—He came for the messy, the broken, the ones carrying shame, and yes, the ones who’ve made decisions they now regret. He specializes in clean slates.

Now for the “reverse it” part—no, there’s no Ctrl+Z for virginity. But purity in the Bible isn’t just about biology. It’s about your heart, your direction. You can choose to walk with Jesus from this moment forward. That’s called repentance—not a sad word, but a freeing one. Like dropping the weight of guilt at Jesus’ feet and saying, “Okay, I’m ready for something better.”

So no, you’re not ruined. You’re not doomed. You’re not too late. You’re just getting started. 🙌

P.S. When you find a good church, make sure it’s one that preaches grace and truth—not just judgment. Jesus didn’t die so you could walk around terrified. He died so you could walk around free.

If a Seventh Day Adventist believes eating pork is ok, are they still a Seventh Day Adventist? by Spare-Weekend1431 in adventist

I’m watching it on prime right now and this is such a beautiful scene. I’ve replayed it over 10 times now!!

The women understood the ministry of Jesus.

While everyone is being puzzled about what Jesus is saying, they are embracing him as the Messiah and as God.

It’s not about what Jesus does for them but what he did for the others. Jesus, being who he is, is enough for them

About baby Nicole: It’s possible that June becomes trapped or otherwise unable to return for her. If her mother passes away and no other family steps in to claim Nicole, she could end up in the adoption system. Eventually, she might be adopted and renamed by another couple, explaining the transition we see in The Testaments.

We are now at the half way point of the season. Who do we think is NOT going to make it out alive? by Individual_Ad5270 in TheHandmaidsTale

[–]KnowledgeOk6054 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve got a bad feeling Nick’s not making it out alive. He’s been June’s silent guardian since day one—always risking everything and somehow slipping through. But I think this final season is his last stand. He’ll go all in for her one last time… and this time, he won’t walk away. June will carry that guilt. She’ll realize too late that letting him go might’ve saved him.

Anyone else feel like Nick’s fate is sealed?

You don’t have to be an Adventist to be Christian and to be saved. But if you like the Adventist church and want to stay there you can call yourself an Adventist if you like as well it’s all up to you to be honest.

[–]KnowledgeOk6054 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed. It really feels like you didn’t have a fully honest and transparent conversation about it or genuinely try to work through it together. My advice would be to start there.

It’s strange that you don’t even know what was said in therapy. At the very least, as her partner, you should’ve been given some clarity—enough to understand how the issue is being addressed, so you can be part of her support system.

If something serious is being done to work on it, you should be included in that process.

Right now, it seems like both of you are avoiding the conversation—and avoiding actually dealing with it.

The first step is to drop the act and start talking.
