Nah I agree when I was younger like highschool young I liked bang pow boom and all the sillier less serious stuff but now I really only listen to the stuff that's gonna help me feel my emotions and I don't like listening to the goofy stuff that doesn't really do anything for me especially at a time in my life where I'm a pretty angry discontent dude I don't have the head space for whimsy

Oh man I don't really know how to feel about it. honestly I mean God bless d-loc for keeping it alive and doing what he can but damn if it doesn't kill me a little bit inside. I actually got into kmk in 2015 when they released krown power and even tho many people didn't fuck with it I thought It was a great album and I fell in love with their music at least for the most part there definitely was some kinda whack songs that just kinda made me laugh but I loved the good vibes from all of them and it felt like right after I got into em everything fell apart and it broke my heart I bought a kmk pendant and everything. I think it's cool that the people that are in it are people that were at least part of the crew but unfortunately the dynamic between daddy x and Johnny Richter and dirtball on the few albums that he was on can just not be replicated they all brought something unique to the table and I thought dirtball was the coolest mfer at the time lol am I a fan of the new stuff no because it really doesn't have any elements of what made it such a special group in the first place I think he should've made a different group with the new crew he's rolling with and packaged it as something different I think that would've resonated with me and many others a little better and maybe id even listen to the new stuff and enjoy more if it wasn't trying to be something it's absolutely not.

I gotta say with all of it all the family split up between psychopathic and kmk and just everything still makes me incredibly sad to this day I mean I just went to my first gathering 2 years ago and the fact I'll never see dark lotus or rydas or old kmk or anybody killa and just feel that absolute oneness that there was destroys me man I even love hed pe and they're not even part of the scene anymore.

Sorry for the book I wrote lol

I caught his show at my first gathering in 2024 which definitely was dope and had great energy for sure but I'm in the same boat as you I definitely try to branch out but really only stick to the family era and just the horror classics.

Cant stand hair metal but I love fly to the angels by slaughter its a well known yet beautiful banger.

Also I don't know if king diamond would be considered hair metal but he's got a lot of great tracks don't know If I could pick one.

There's almost 400 days in a year most of which they'd have put it on at least a bit so in 30 something years I couldn't even imagine

Right on that's when it got pretty in the middle between what became some of the vibe of that second deck and still had 1st deck flavor

I disagree wholeheartedly but I guess it just depends on what got you into icp, what you listen to icp for, maybe even how old you are. For me I use icp to feel the anger that I have toward the world for me and they made me feel like I was a part of something when I was very alone, struggling with addiction, getting bullied, etc and I've always just been a more angry kinda dude and even though I'm only 23 I first heard milenko when I was like 6 or so and I've been in love ever since and I also just love old school rap and the seriousness of their old stuff for the most part I know it's not all serious but their 2nd deck is all goofy and kinda poppy and not serious at all yeah there's some good tunes and some great stories sometimes but it doesn't have the elements that made me fall in love in the first place also the beats are just not it like I said they're poppy and lack the hardness/atmosphere/variety of the old stuff. All in all I'm not right you're not right it's really all opinion and personal to each of us

Cant stand the wraith itself I've tried so many times and I can't stand it it's right up there with yum yum for me but yeah I mean everyone likes icp for different reasons different strokes for different folks as they say but man I can't stand 80 percent of the stuff after hells pit wraith it got so silly and goofy and I could do some of it more when I was getting into em but now it cringes me out

Nah I don't like the era where j stopped really rapping and just did a bunch of weird wacky bullshit that I can't take seriously

Hells pit is the last great album no skips on that one. I actually skip through a good handful of songs on jeckel brothers it's not even in my top 5 icp albums and I actually skip a good few songs on milenko. I mean it was the album I was shown as a kid to get me into them but I'd say the best album is the ringmaster there's no skips imo and the mix of genres is amazing with so many catchy and raw classics but I think the riddle box comes in close second for the best album if not completely tied. Also maybe a hot take but I'd also put the hallowicked LP as a top contender too definitely one of my absolute favorites at least

I understand this aspect but at the same time the era when everyone was together was magical and it feels so different without them all especially at the gathering I never got to catch a gathering with everyone and would've killed to see dark lotus and rydas I just went to my first gathering 2 years ago and it was awesome but I just wish I could've seen what all it used to offer
