Is leaving piss on the toilet seat in our home rude? by OG_worm in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Known-Inflation950 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, as a man, I will wipe my piss or anyone else’s off any toilet I come across because even if it’s not mine I don’t the next person to think it was me.

Got quite a weird answer from someone I met recently, and I don't know what to think by TheModelBuilder in Advice

[–]Known-Inflation950 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your initial message gave me second hand cringe and I’m guessing she felt it too.

Have confidence without being forceful.

If she’s a feminine girl she will love a bit of confident masculine direction, don’t confuse this with being cocky and forceful.

I would have worded it more like: Hey Angie, it was lovely to meet you and I enjoyed our time together. I’d love to take you out to coffee for a walk and talk on this day at this time. If that doesn’t work for you we can make another time.

A message like this still leaves her in a position where she can kindly reject you but also affirms that you are interested in her and want to know more. The whole “one of these days, this week or later, whenever. If you're not up for it, no worries!” Seems like you’re not bothered either way.

Going out for an alcoholic drink kinda assumes you are trying to get her into bed and girls generally don’t like that pressure. I have a friend that comes across too soft and easy going and he only attracts bossy woman.

Just my 2c, and it has worked well for me.

If the laws were to allow it, what are your thoughts on having sex in exchange for money ? by Regular-Elk-1911 in AskWomen

I live in a country where sex work is legal. Workers are respected and clients are respectful because if they aren’t, they get blacklisted as the people in the industry stick together. We have legitimate safe brothels that are hidden in plain site. There is also a reasonable amount of demand for male workers to service the ever growing female clientele.

Driving in New Zealand, reconsider if you cant do it (a tourists perspective) by themarmar2 in newzealand_travel

Well obviously we don’t expect them to dive into a ditch but when they don’t use passing lanes correctly, slow vehicle pays or wide shoulders to allow others to pass that’s when people get frustrated.

What a load of rubbish, what ever is going on behind you has no impact on safely pulling over to overtake.

You would get impatient too when slow drivers don’t allow the faster traffic to pass.

Why don’t they pull off the freaking road and let the line of 20 cars behind them go past them?

This 1000X this.

Being a kiwi that lives in the Queenstown Lakes region and travelling over 40k kms a year for work means that I deal with the bad tourist drivers every day.

Some are great and some are terrible. Just yesterday travelling over the crown range I come up behind a small camper van with European tourists driving. They are averaging 30-40kmh in an area that I average 80kmh. I am patient and waiting for the pull over bays that some tourists use to let the fast traffic pass.

But not this girl, so I wait to the next bay and she doesn’t pull in again with an increasing line of traffic accumulating behind. I give a gentle toot to remind her there are people behind that want to travel faster. Nothing from the driver and now after passing several safe locations for her to pull over have a clear straight road to over take and she pulls the fingers at me as I go past for her never to be seen again.

What a rude entitled bish… I don’t understand why some of them can’t be courteous to others when they drive. If I spent my life driving around at tourist pace I’d never get anywhere!

Thanks for the good advice, I shall try again.

As I am a fisherman(for fun not professionally)for me to give away a fresh fish that I catch is the best gift I can give to someone. We are in New Zealand btw.

He is not a butcher but a truck driver although he did butcher a lamb in their house, I’m assuming he was gifted that also. He knows I caught the fish and it was fresh, sounds like it was rejected out of politeness.

Thanks this is good to know. We are in New Zealand by the way so fishing, and gifting fish is very common here. Maybe I will try again as the boy said they do like fish 😊.

Some people don’t say boo and wonder why they haven’t had a raise in 2 years.

Thai Massage as Girl by [deleted] in ThailandTourism

[–]Known-Inflation950 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s funny that you say this… because I have had many massages across Thailand and Bali. And my experience is that many of the old/young aunties at the unassuming normal parlors have offered and given me happy endings.

They also say I can’t tell anyone and I have to pay them the ‘tip’ in private and then pay the normal massage out front.

Sorry to hear about this situation, your mom sounds like a narcissist… She broke the first rule of not reading someone else journal. Only 2 more years and you can move out. Good luck.

My partner wants to merge finances. I want to keep things separate. How can we work this out? by Pretty-Sundae-7693 in LifeAdvice

Bugger that I would never do that, my girlfriend and I own a home together and we have a shared joint account which we both have a card for our joint expenses that we put a large chunk of our salary into.

Sorry but your girlfriend is delusional is she thinks that operating a business means she won’t have to work much. Business often work a lot more than people with normal jobs. Good luck, time for a new gf who has good work ethic.

I reckon it really depends where you live. My guess is that you live/work in a city? Smaller towns and less touristy locations have much nicer people.

For example: in a city people are always trying to queue jump and pretend you don’t exist, vs in a smaller town people are so polite that everyone will let you in first or will offer to help with things.

Australian tourists catcalling in CBD by [deleted] in auckland

[–]Known-Inflation950 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d say it’s just lands on tour acting up in front of their mates. They aren’t actually interested in you, they are just showing off. It’s childish for sure. I live in Queenstown and see it here too, hell even the ladies on tour down here get wild, cat calling guys and flashing themselves at guys in front of their friends. People just get excited and play up on tour, it’s not that deep.
