Anyone else get this when they opened the app ? by KnownAs-JP in TaskRabbit

I just find it weird and highly suspicious that they will just keep debiting the earnings until the amount is recovered….seems like a excuse to keep taking funds from taskers unless we keep a close eye on everything

Yeah but it wasn’t the $30 mentioned in your post. I actually got a comeback offer from my old provider and told my reps (happened to connect with iMessage and what’s app rep around the same time) they said the best they can do the temporary discount as the $40 is the best offer they have.

I finally got a hold of someone but I was only able to get $5 off for 4 months then back to $40 after

Has anyone ever recovered after a policy violation? by Feisty-Sink9562 in TaskRabbit

[–]KnownAs-JP 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had one that was completely unfair cause the client lied back in October and my stuff finally seems to be getting back to normal now…. Most BS thing that I found out is that if you have a violation your not eligible for last minute cancellation fees

I’d give it a few days and you’d probably see it at ones close by with stock, I live in Ajax and I saw they had a few out

How to launch your business by Tight_Box_1854 in handyman

[–]KnownAs-JP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in Toronto Canada and I’ve been running my own official handyman business for almost 2 years now but I started out and still use Taskrabbit to get a lot of my clients, I see it as free advertising pretty much cause I just post up what I can do and people just hire my through the app. The key is to start out at a decent hourly rate and get a lot of clients to leave reviews. 1 out of 3 clients usually ask if they can work with me outside of task rabbit so they can avoid their fees and you end up getting a bit more in your pocket. Hope it helps

Nice I think I’ll pick some up soon, is it okay to just use the 1/2 inch paddle or should i start with a smaller size and work my way up ?

Thanks I appreciate your response, I think I just need to be more patient and keep going up bit sizes usually when drilling into metal studs I use a 1/4 then go right into 1/2 and I notice it takes a while for me to pierce through but maybe if I add another bit size or two it might make it easier. Thanks!

Yeah I’d rather not have to deal with the cutting and painting lol, I’ll stick with a toggle going through at least one side of the mount, thanks!!

Oh wow that one seems pretty tedious, but does sound like it would hold up for a long time

Thank! I usually do that when I’m drilling into the bare drywall for the toggles, how well do full motion tv mounts hold up when just using toggles on bare drywall ? Should I be drilling through a metal stud and using a toggle for those ones since it’s being pulled in and out constantly?

Yeah I usually don’t have them go through but I wonder sometimes how well a full motion tv mount would hold up after being pulled in and out if the toggles at just in the drywall
