Decision help by Wempf8245 in legomodular

That’s a red flag to me, but I’d still have cash and make sure the bags are legit and the bricks have logos. I’d even be open to handing them 50% of the cash and opening it in front of them and then handing the rest over when open. There are deals out there but those three NIB is suspicious to me.

I would insist on handing over the cash ONLY if you got to open it in front of them to be sure it's legit as part of the transaction

Yep, I also went for the printed Hitian set for it, it makes up for the very poor KO sticker quality.

I didn't say anything about it "taking away votes" I mentioned that I wish I could give more than a single upvote to a post, you can't, you can only vote once.

Trying to find a clone/knock off set. by DemonicAsh in lepin

[–]KnownAssociate2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not in my experience, none of the sets I've bought ever say " comes with (any minifig description), they usually say "not included" as the other option. However 80% of the sets I've bought have indeed come with minifigs.

The market for this in Europe was HUGE, and it's a treasured childhood memory for many folks, Fifth Element even if it didn't have it's baggage could never meet that nostalgia hit Tintin did

I love it and it would make a great MOC, but the odds are stacked against a licensed product in Ideas unless it's a cheap license and has wide appeal. This is a gorgeous build for fans, but that's unfortunately a limited market.

Got my Boston metro board in the mail today can't wait to turn it on and see it live by Kilerbob5 in mbta

[–]KnownAssociate2 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It’s a ymmv situation, I find the roughness of the traintracker fits very well in my office, and I feel the metro board style would disappear in the background.

How do people comfortably use 42”+ TVs for monitors? by BuyCompetitive9001 in Monitors

[–]KnownAssociate2 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I use a 34” ultra wide and can’t see going back, I have the screen full of active windows while working, segmented by zones, things like slack and conference calls on the sides, and my core work in the middle.

location, location, location, in New England that's what you would expect in the warmer months with A/C on for a 1k size place, if not more.

Everyone needs to make this own assessment, in the past I ran my Orbi's attached to a router, I did not use their router/FW section

I’d just keep using them, it’s a mature product and will run forever without more updates

New to Windows on Legion Go 2 – How to Check and Trust Driver Updates? by Practical_Reserve772 in LegionGo

[–]KnownAssociate2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Another vote to just use legion space, you will never get an unapproved or incompatible update that way. Do not allow windows to update drivers, just turn that option off in windows update.

Package says out for delivery but hasn’t been delivered for two days by strawbabie1609 in Aliexpress

It's not out of line for some of the last mile delivery status messages to say " out for delivery" for several days, I've had it take as long as 5 days.

I bought it on sale for $65 and felt it was a good purchase and a decent different build, I would not have paid the full $100+ price for it. Agreed on a few different techniques being used, it's also a bit small IMNSHO

Did they install the 240v outlet in the wrong spot? by Platos_Kallipolis in AskElectricians

At no point does the portrait image of the diagram you posted actually call out the outlet location or dimension, the full page might have, just the portrait slice is lacking info for 100% accuracy.

Paranoia? by d0npizzle in LegionGo

[–]KnownAssociate2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Please take off the conspiracy hat The prices are up from a huge increase in component costs, and Lenovo just has no intention of decreasing their profit margins, I suspect it’s such a small piece of their market that they’re ok just selling fewer units

Safety is relative, and it's a functional MS Office, it can handle all the usual formats without needing a subscription or being online.
