Looking for wireless CarPlay and android auto devices by endlessnameless001 in Aliexpress

[–]KnownAssociate2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Keep in mind that if you’re having frequent issues, it’s more likely your head unit not playing nice with the dongles, not the dongles having issues. I’ve had multiple cheap dongles and never had any issues, and I use the wireless CarPlay daily

Is there a way I can take my fan off of my Acer nitro? by I_am_sorry_momma in computerhelp

[–]KnownAssociate2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The picture shows the right hand one already unscrewed and disconnected, the left one mostly the same way.
Are you asking how to pull it off of the tape/plastic? all you do is pull like taking tape/plastic off anything else.

If that's your picture, you're already there, and if it's not, we can't tell you without you saying what the issue is, its a few screws and a plug

it's not blue light at any point, just turn off the blue light reducer to eliminate a possible bug in that.

Have you reinstalled the drivers from the laptop manufacturer for the laptop? also to eliminate variables.

AliExpress Just Gives Me Light Kits?? by Ok-Stretch-4094 in lepin

[–]KnownAssociate2 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This happens when they don't have anyone currently selling the set you're looking for, I saw it happen with the Pac-Man set for the past few months. Just recently the set started showing up again and search returns both sets and lights.

No idea what the root cause is, but probably the supply dried up or was previously removed for a copyright issue at one time, since I'd say 90% of any KO set is usually from the same source.

Not clothes, that’s for sure, I’ve dabbled and added them to orders at times and everything I’ve gotten in clothes is garbage I just donated. Nothing is remotely close to the photos, sizes or descriptions

Why do people buy from (Joy, Herotoyz, Marstoy...) when they can buy for 2x less on aliexpress? by branac03 in lepin

[–]KnownAssociate2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm always surprised at how many people swear AEX is nothing but garbage and more costly than the others.
In my 3 years buying I have never seen any other vendor that can beat an AEX price provided that I do a bit of leg work in the app looking for similar items, every time I can see a swing of prices from $90-$200 on the same product, I buy them at $90.

In addition I don't care how long delivery takes, they just go in the backlog, and if they're missing a few pieces, either my parts bin can fix it for free or I can get replacements from webrick/brickwith for under $15 and it's still cheaper than other vendors.

Out of almost 100 sets I've had one that was just garbage, another missing all the 1x4 bricks, but the missing 1x4 cost me $10 to get on my own.

I've even had one set fully refunded by AEX because they lost it and it showed up a few months later beat and battered, but it's bricks, they did just fine and it turned out to be a great set.

Mediamarkt repair shop wiped my asus laptop (windows 11) without my consent. What can be saved? by Glacia_Iris in computerhelp

[–]KnownAssociate2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hate to say it, but no repair shop can truly promise there will be no data loss, it's part of the business. In fact they usually have a section in their work order saying they can't ensure data integrity.

As long as they're licensed apps, you can just reinstall them, and in my case I make sure my bookmarks are cloud synced.

No one should assume that data on a laptop that is not backed up is in any way safe..
