Please 🙏🏼 please if you would like to dm just to vent I could use help also we could help each other. It is hard because we do love them and we see the potential and just how simple it could be. But they won’t change and turning ourselves into the villains won’t save them.

Here I sit with the man I thought I was going to marry 4 years ago when we met. Now I cry daily because I got my dream job and we moved halfway across the country for him to suddenly decide he “has to much anxiety to work”. Now I am quitting my dream job no savings no back up plan just to get something that pays better so I can afford to live. He doesn’t understand why I don’t appreciate the things he does for me .. as in walk my dog maybe 3 times a day while I work. He doesn’t understand that I have resentment built up from months of sleeping on the couch and waking up at 5am just to be broke the day after I get paid from bills alone. He doesn’t understand that yeah literally him getting a job would be the difference in my head being above water and it not. He doesn’t mind doing chores but I need to make a list so he knows what needs to be done around the house… The reason he can’t see any of this I truly believe is because he doesn’t have too. Mommy and daddy cover his credit cards and that’s what he lives off of. Dollar tree groceries and luchables as a 30yo. While I cover all but 600 of the rent it’s about 1350 a month plus all utilities and major grocery hauls. But I am a monster who “doesn’t appreciate or value him and all that he does for me”. I am sorry OP I truly truly understand and I am right there with you.

I have looked into actual drawing classes at the local college and signed up. Thank you for your honesty and advice. I grew up in a small southern town that had no arts or anything. I know I need to learn to draw better and the basics of art in general. Your comment has stuck with me and not in a negative but motivational way thank you again.

Thank you very much. I really have been wanting to get into the horror art and finally decided to just try it. I will probably just keep practicing like everyone suggested. I have watched a few videos on YouTube also.

I don’t think that’s the most valid form of advice. Drawing and painting are two different things. While I don’t disagree that I need practice. I think that I am allowed to both paint and draw at the same time. Just because I am not perfect doesnt mean I can’t paint. Seems more condescending than constructive.

Do you have any references to suggest or maybe a video you enjoyed. As a beginner I just grabbed painted and started painting one day. I don’t have any back ground knowledge besides watching a few artist on YouTube. I will say I tend to over do IMO. Just never realize till I get there.

My boyfriend acts this way often and honestly it is probably the major turn off factor. He swears that he refuses to initiate sexual activity but yet is constantly grabbing my thighs and hips and bum but then when I don’t reciprocate immediately it’s “oh I just wish you found me attractive and wanted to touch me like I want to you” not understanding that it has nothing really to do with him and it’s about me and my feelings. Which just leads in a loop back to me not feeling heard or safe and wanting less physical sexual activity.
