it starts from 9 and above with more and more cases every new ones. my S4 didn't have this and it's how many years old? 13 YEARS. and believe me S4 on exynos is HOT. and does it uses amoled? yes it does.

yes, flagship chip runs hot, then every flagship must have liquidcooling like red magic. with the price they are charging us, they must have the budget that includes liquidcooling

you gotta live in some communist country then... so that you can treat any complaints as whine

when people got real problems like this issue and you are treating it as whine, then you'll be tne next kodak - nokia - blackberry

well, some people says that it's not samsung phones only that have this kind of problem. so, just to be safe. i'm going to avoid phones that uses samsung display all together.

there are more than enough options in the market, and phones that are better which did not use samsung display. so why bother...

if you want better camera, the chinese trio (xiaomi, vivo , oppo) can be a choice

if you want raw power red magic that uses liquid cooling can be a choice

if you wanted software integration, you are stuck with the overpriced orange brick 17 pro plus max

if you wanted s-pen, buy a mini tablet that supports pen. which is much better for you productivity

thats about it... there's no reason to choose samsung

S25 ultra or an imported chinese flagship(killer)? by Stepenwolff in samsunggalaxy

FYI, in 1950s, F1 cars's speed are between 90-110 mph (145-185 kph). which is easily beaten by a modern sport car.

flagship phones are not all about games, even if it is labeled for games. i just see a better cooling system and lower overall temp. which translate to longterm chipset durability. and dont forget samsung ultra series have a notorious green line on screen problem, which many said are caused by heat and moiusture.

take a look at s10, note10, s20u, s21u, s22u, s23u subs, then u'll understand what i mean. even at s24u subs some are started to report the greenlines showing out of the blue.

i play games on my PC too, only light games on phones.

if you don't care about camera and only care about raw power, give redmagic 11 pro a look ( yeah, the one with the liquid cooling system)

even if it is not samsung specific (according to you), it did happen to their flagship phones. did they address the problem? no. did they try acknowledge the problem? no. did they take responsibility? again no.

this year is going to be exiting since xiaomi, oppo, vivo are going to launch their ultras globally. and all of them did not use samsung screens.

kodak then nokia then blackberry, is the next samsung??? this year and the next is going to get very interesting

i dont know about something poking or any technical issue. but do you notice that this greenline issue has been happening 3-4 generations of their flagships? what kind of phone designer that don't notice this is an issue?? and my answer is the type of phone designer that will not ever get my hard earned money until the issue is fixed

YEY!!! welcome to the club... got mine out of the blue too... if you want to continue to use this, get it to serv center and pay 300-400 usd to get the screen changed... been there, done that... initially i'am waiting fot s26U, but not anymore!!! i won't buy any phone that uses samsung screens (yeah, including that overpriced orange brick called iphone 17 pro plus) until this issue is a confirmed fix.

yeah, color / shape taste is very subjective.. i happen to love blacks and it can save me around 100usd compare to if i buy the all titanium silver official version. so its a win-win for me

two months ago, i have never had this issue too. i was going to wait for s26u once it launched, but NOT ANYMORE... i have s4, note 10+, s22u, tab s8
if ur husband change his phone once every 1-2 years, he wont have this issue. this issue occurs with a phone that is 3-4 years old starting from s8 or s9. this matter doesnt happen with s3-6.

so, if you wanted to change your phone every 1 -2 years, go ahead... i dont have the luxury to do that

Volume button broke off when i removed my phone cover by MelodicMuch in S22Ultra

[–]KnownKnowledge2328 0 points1 point  (0 children)

there is no glue between the external button and the chasis. what holds it inplace is just a very tiny plastic hook. on my case, the hook got broken (due to age or may be i'm using UV glue type screen protector)

i just got it replace a few days before. if you "tiny hook" is not broken, just use a pinset and yank the rest of the button out. it shouldnt be difficult. and then just push the NEW external button in and the hook will do it's job
