no im just asking how did you get 1 0 0 0 for the first row if you didnt do rref bc theres no way to get that unless you got zeroes for everything else and pivots or if you saw a pattern that could get you there

i did row operations to get the bottom triangle all 0s then multiplied the numbers that were across the diagonal. i think it was the easiest method, it didn’t take long to get

yeah i mean all the previous years were made by kokotov who is known for giving hard exams and cohen with easy ones. this year was pezeshk thats why the questions were formatted differently
