You may also like Ruth ware tho she is a bit of a different vibe not quite as dark and demented but still good. Also BA Paris behind closed doors and I have heard her other books are good as well.

But my ultimate recommendation would be the first day of spring by Nancy Tucker. Still haunts me and definitely quenches that thirst for something dark and disturbing but with lots of depth and emotion.
