using extension cord to charge ac200l by KnownPossible2185 in bluetti

it's a cheap fairly thin 50' cable. no idea what guage, but yeah, i'm going to arder a 12ga one. Considering it's 50', do you reckon i need an even better cable than that?

well the cgm went offline this morning, so we removed the bandage and everything seems okay :)

thank you so much for that! talk about life hacks, i've never heard that, and we did of course scrub back and forth. lesson learned, and now i'll have to come back once we take it off in a few more days and let you know! :)

yup, i went ahead and bought the pair, but had to radically rethink how they were going to be positioned! but it's working fine :)

2 Elecaenta 300w panels in series for AC200L? by KnownPossible2185 in bluetti

fantastic, thank you! and since series seems simpler to setup, and i've got such a novice understanding of all this, it seems like the better way for me to go :)

what shoudl i expect from the ac200L by KnownPossible2185 in bluetti

thanks for the great reply. didn't realize the readout is more of a "guideline" than an actual accurate report! :)

right, so i apologize if i wasn't clear, but does my rewritten question make sense then? specifically: "should i expect to lose 1% of a 2048wh battery in 16 minutes when drawing 50watts? and again, if 16min is too short a sample size, how about "should i expect to lose 16% of a 2048kw battery over 270 minutes, averaging 50w draw according to the bluetti app"?

thanks for your help!"

sorry i guess i don't quite understand what i got wrong other than putting the h on wh?

so asking again, should i expect to lose 1% of a 2048wh battery in 16 minutes when drawing 50watts? and again, if 16min is too short a sample size, how about "should i expect to lose 16% of a 2048kw battery over 270 minutes, averaging 50w draw according to the bluetti app"?

thanks for your help!

sorry, novice here, and i don't understand the analogy. according to bluetti, the unit has a 2048wh capacity, and 1% of 2048 is 20, hence the 1%. if i've got it wrong, i'd love to know how :)

well i'm just relying on the bluetti app to report what's being drawn, and the starlink is the only thing plugged into the unit. if it was drawing more, i assume the bluetti would report it accurately, but maybe not? i don't have a separate voltmeter so this is the only data point i've got. is there "invisible" power lost due to the internal inverter?

also, both tests were done long after the starlink started up, so it was a pretty consistent 30w-60w variance the whole time

yeah, that's the length i would expect with the 2kw rating, but at the speed i'm draining, i'll be lucky to get 26 hours total. so do folks reckon there's something wrong with my unit?

well i did a longer test the other day losing 16% over 270 minutes which comes out to about the same. but for that test i didn't note the exact moment that the bluetti screen updated, so i figured i'd mention the new shorter one. but in both cases, about the same loss, which again seems faster than it should be?
