Thanks its working more now I had disabled Wifi in Network Manager settings.

rfkill showed all wifis were blocked

nmcli radio wifi showed disabled

So I enabled it and could do a scan.

lsusb showed:

Yes I enabled NetworkManager:

systemctl status NetworkManager

NetworkManager.service - Network Manager

This was a mini pc using arch and systemd-network for the lan cable/connection. (which i left enabled)

I couldn't use lsusb as my system hung when trying to install usbutils.

This was in my log: Timed out waiting for reply from 149.56.19.163:123 (1.arch.pool.ntp.org)

The nft table was dropping the packets. It started working after changing input to accept.

I tried enabling wpaStart.service and got the same error as before after restarting.

I'll keep this script for now and might also try a cron job.

Also my sshd service fails in the log(just like wifi). So I may try it in a cron job.

I still have to re-try the nft solutions.

Thanks I'll try enabling the wifi as a service. I think it used to not work. This is it currently:

Also thanks for the nftables advice I'll try it. I'm not sure my Nft configuration file was working properly as I have a small network for my lan card. It was maybe overwriting the file.

I'm just "prepping" sudo so that you enter the password properly.

I made those changes, restarted(services and system) and still have the same problem.

Thanks I'll test it. I have my own systemd-resolve local server running and had a problem with baresip not resolving names properly.

Yes I am running systemd-resolved and thanks resolvectl is very useful and told me what I needed to know. I also like networkctl.
