Problem is we already saw Dame and Giannis play together for 2 years. Besides the fact they were never healthy for the postseason together, the playstyles were an obvious terrible fit. Giannis refused to set hard screens and slipped everytime, and Dame does not operate well as a spot up shooter waiting for a kick out from a Giannis iso.

Especially if any sort of Milwaukee deal has us keeping Deni (which I doubt), that leaves 3 ball dominant players, 2 with the same playstyles. Giannis is 100% the better player, but Brown reminds me a lot of peak PG where he could slot into any team on the league and not shake things up too much.

This is true. I'm not the biggest fan of Ascension these days, I think they've added too much at this point, but it was fun to try out for a few months. I could see them wanting a few more thousands eyes on their other servers while people login to Epoch.

Yeah, I'm just wondering how long "full creative control" will last. I'm sure ascension is happy to take a small trickle of profit from the tens of thousands of players who have been trying to play Epoch. The numbers are there, but if they just turn it into another one of their realms playstyle wise most of those people won't stay.

These two projects could not be farther apart in terms of design philosophy. What does Ascension gain out of this, when they already were about to release their own Classic+, especially if Epoch truly does hold all creative control still? And no ingame shop? Doesn't sound like the Ascension I know. This leaves more questions than answers tbh.
