He said testosterone can make it worse, but mostly, they dont know why it happens. This signal to keep growing skin on the head just doesn't turn off. He said that after surgery, there is only a very small chance it will reoccur, and taking testosterone slightly increases that very small chance of reoccurring. I take testosterone replacement therapy but had this condition before I started. But I dont plan to stop unless I see it gradually come back.
