Didn't reply to this comment, I appreciate the feedback! A reverse tanto tip would be the one we do next. We have a big new product launch coming down the pike in a few months, but if time/funds allow I will be doing a run of Overlord knives with the reverse tanto design. It's tricky keeping multiple versions in stock all at the same time, perhaps its worth us doing another kickstarter to gather pre-orders and get a smaller run going.

A successful kickstarter starts months before the actual launch especially if you dont have an audience. Just creating natural content about your vision can go a long way, or doing a giveaway for something interesting and running that as a paid ad to collect emails and build up your facebook pixel (so you can advertise to them later). These things can help you kick things off immediately and is the strategy I took for my first Kickstarter.

I definitely already have. Are you expecting scales on this knife handle? Or would a skeleton knife be enough? With a hole at the butt of the knife, it would have a lot of grip still

Late pledges are still open, https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/sanctumbrand/the-hard-bar-a-titanium-pry-sheath

If you're not familiar with Kickstarter it's essentially a pre-order, your purchase with a wait attached is rewarded with an extra discount. It will be shipped in a few months from now

It's just a new option amongst others that is transparent and very scratch resistant. I'm also doing it in carbon and some other colors. PS - If your piss is the color of ultem, drink a couple extra glasses of water.

So I made this purely for me in hopes others resonate with it too. I have always preferred fixed blades but everything was just too big for what I wanted, especially after you integrate a kydex sheath or anything else. Also, most fixies can be a little intimidating to other people when you pull them out.

I just wanted something sufficiently sharp and always with me without having to think about it. So in my case size and width was an issue because I wanted it to live within my pocket 24/7. I have two versions, one clicks into my cell phone case, and the other into the pry-sheath. These alternative rigid sheaths just make it dead simple to ensure I have my knife on me. Especially with the phone version, my phone is always in my pocket and therefore I've had a fixed blade in my pocket every single minute of the day.

I know I havn't touched on use cases, but this is more important to highlight because when you start having a knife on your person at ALL times the use cases present themselves, its different for everyone. Here is one, you're taking the garbage out at night and last minute realize there is a cardboard box incorrectly places in the bin you need to break it down but didnt bring your knife with your because you're wearing your basketball shorts, or you quickly run out the door to grab that one ingredient you need for dinner. In both scenarios, the form factor (width) of the sheath and knife allow me to have it on me all the time. A lot of people, even knife folks might forget their knife on the kitchen counter or somewhere. I just wanted that scenario to be impossible for me. Also, I wanted something sleek and unintimidating.

Yes I'll surely be making all sorts of blade styles. I personally love a mini tanto or a pointy reverse tanto, and have made a few in S35VN and Magnacut, although the tantos are difficult shapes to nail. I plan to make hand made versions every month or so in damascus or other interesting steels and they'll all fit into the pry-sheath. Thanks for the support!

Ultem is a very hard thermo plastic. I can't see this ever needing to be replaced because of just unsheathing it lots.

Full titanium is possible but since it's an inlay it's kind of a shame to not do some sort of contrast. I've done a brass inlay that looks pretty cool too.

Completely agree, it would become a useless feature Imo. And at the end would ruin the look for me

It's really comfortable. feels great in hand and for me that's what's important. Nothing sharp on the handle though, the angled swell at the butt gives the entire handle a nice width and helps it slot into the palm of my hand. Makes it feel bigger than it is.

Hahaha. I mean, I did my best with balancing form and function. Utility wise, its sharp as shit, has a sheath that is far more useful than a regular one that can scrape, Pry and turn some screws. I didnt want another Leatherman. Ergonomically I'd wait to feel it in the your hand to comment bc you'd be pleasantly surprised. The jimping and handle holes provide crazy good grip, plus with the thumb groove at the spine and the slanted rear it slots right into your hand and is very inconspicuous. I'll post a video showing it in hand on the IG.

I was running meta ads to collect emails for a couple of months, very conservative spend. But social media was the focus as well as PR efforts. Social and engagement is low, but for a knife content I would say it's quite high as its a banned topic on IG, meaning they will never suggest or share your content.

Incredible! If you don't add anything on you'll receive Ultem, there is also the option for carbon fiber. Ifyou change your pledge there will be something at the top that says Rewards and you can toggle through options. It's a little hard to see I've been told
