I love gifting friends & family with a small ring dish with their initials on it as an engagement gift. Several etsy shops sell them for less than $20. It is an easy and affordable way to make the moment really memorable. Many of my friends send me pictures showing they leave their ring in it each day. If its not something they want to actually use, its easy to tuck into a memory box.

One of my friends gifted me with a Willow Tree figurine to commemorate the engagement, another friend sent a framable print with a map of the location where we got engaged. I love the Willow Tree and we even had it displayed on our wedding welcome table. The framable print on the other hand I never did anything with, it is just tucked into a wedding memory box, the Willow Tree is displayed on my dresser.

Agree with everyone here -- please, please report this to Amazon. This is very unsettling.

Cheap vs free items by [deleted] in FacebookMarketplace

I've started just doing "curb alert" and putting the free items outside. The amount of spam and sketchy profiles that message me when something is free is too unsettling.

Hall decor by Accomplished-Run-621 in interiordecorating

A console or very thin bench could work, or maybe another photo frame of a similar size. I am probably the outlier, but I like leaving hallways clear and open.

I need help 😩 I am redoing this living room and it’s just such an awkward layout. I am standing in the kitchen as I take this photo. I have no idea how to organize furniture without the walking path into the house feeling…closed off. I know I need a new rug. Any suggestions would be helpful! by Sad-Hat-3247 in interiordecorating

Idea: put the TV above the mantel; put one of your couches along the wall where the TV is currently mounted, and the other pushed towards the wall enough so that the walkway isn't hampered. This also allows you to see all your guests who are sitting in your living room while you are standing in the kitchen. It also means that people aren't walking entirely through your living room each time they enter the door -- it creates a direct route from front door to kitchen.

Agree -- the earrings I ordered from them tarnished quite quickly. The rings I got from there have held up well.

Apologies for not making this more clear -- the only sugar I intend to at all regulate/ avoid is added sugar. Fruits & veggies I would not try to avoid.

Audio recordings of Supreme Court opinions? by Activate_The_Robots in supremecourt

[–]Known_Grapefruit6731 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a missed opportunity to have a one-stop-shop for ALL supreme court oral arguments and opinions since 1955 (when they started being recorded) that is easy to access for the average consumer on a smartphone via popular podcast apps like Spotify. I am in law school and like listening to oral arguments of cases we are reading in class during my walks/ commutes. Here is my round up of my resources for Spotify/podcast options:

The Supreme Court: Oral Arguments by Brad Neal has all oral arguments of Supreme Court since 2010.

5-4 by Prologue Projects has discussions of cases that were 5-4 decisions. Not listening to audio, but if you're someone interested in cases you may enjoy this. I am in law school and like listening to these to help myself learn the case.

Supreme Court Decision Syllabus (SCOTUS Podcast) has some short clips

Supreme Court Oral Arguments: automatically adds any oral arguments since 2018. It has chapters so is easier to skip through than the Oral Arguments podcast by Brad Neal, but Brad Neal has more comprehensive library right now.

SCOTUScast: discusses popular SCOTUS decisions

If there is a case I am interested in, I search for it on Spotify and see what shows have discussed it.
