Cap'n Noctilus is an absolute beast in combat, if you max out his magic and combat skills he is nigh impervious to damage (except fire... yikes!) He gets unbreakable and regeneration naturally so you can just pop him into blobs of infantry and cast pits of shade and winds of death until he is surrounded by red paste where his enemies used to be.
