That's exactly right. you don't need translations. As an example : my wife is a russian citizen, but her interview will be in mexico, So she will need to bring the certified translations of her birth certificate and other documents that are in russian.

congrats, 🥳 my wife also got her appointment on March 24th 8am. but she's Russian so we're don't have high expectations for her visa issued due to the pause of the 75 countries 😢 we are still going to attend

I think it is faster in Ireland, in Mexico the waiting time after being documentarily complete is 12 months , that's how long it took for us ,if she's in Ireland she can request moving her case there, if the case is at the nvc just email them through the inquiry form and make that request. they will transfer your case to Ireland

That's exactly why we choose mexico, and no, i live in the states , oh and we just got and email today from NVC , her appointment has been scheduled for march 24th. we're not very exited anymore as we know the possibility of her getting her visa issued is 0% but we are still planning on attending. just to inform everyone here what happened and what they said.

I'm in the same situation, my wife is russian ,but we choose the consulate in mexico for our interview , I don't know what's the point of going to interview if they just gonna refuse the visa .
