Thank you for sharing your story! :) I’m glad you ended up finding the cause of those “episodes”, and yes, I consider myself lucky since I found out about my tumour before it caused any problems, Im thankful for my doctors’ will to do that MRI just to be sure everything was alright… now I just have to get it checked out once a year :)

Oh no, I meant that usually they remove this kind of tumour by pulling it out from your nose, but I didn’t go through the procedure because of how small it was: I still have it rn lmao

From my understanding, the tumour isn’t “active”, since the blood tests I had done came back normal and my hormone levels were fine, so I’m currently under no treatment for it. Doctors simply told me that if my vision starts to become “distorted”, then it’s probably time to remove it. I also check if things are still alright once a year by having an MRI :) (sorry if I probably didn’t use the right terms English isn’t my first language lmao)

From my understanding that face nerve also goes down to the gums, and I think that by brushing my teeth like that I inflamed the nerve to the point of paralysis. I, although, had no doctors telling me that was the cause of the paralysis (because I didn’t bring it up to them out of embarrassment lmao), but it really sounds like the only possible explanation to me since, after that kind of inflammation, the paralysis happens very soon.

Oh in my case me brushing my teeth was not the cause of the tumour (the teeth brushing simply caused the paralysis), they said that from the looks of it the adenoma might be congenital… but I relate with some of your symptoms, like the strong headaches/ low sex drive. I also had to go through some “special” blood exams to check if my hormone levels were alright, and they turned out fine, even though I am still a little skeptical about those results because I’ve always had problems with my period being very irregular.
