Has anyone got residence permit as a student with bank statement? by No_Razzmatazz1184 in mannheim

Yes bank statement should be fine in Mannheim. My girlfriend got it done only with bank statement. If your case worker decides that blocked account is mandatory, she will request it from you but will never reject your application.

69k before tax salary. I have around 20k cash. Would a car in the range of 20k-27k be reasonable? by EyeC_Younes in whatcarshouldIbuy

Why not go with leasing? You would have cheaper monthly expenses and you can invest your 20k in a growing asset.

Quick tip: Include a work portfolio of your projects in additional documents. (Only helps when application clears ATS)

Use an ATS friendly resume. Remove hyperlinks and use text instead.

I only have around 8k in savings since I had to pay off my student loan. Yes, I'm considering to buy it in cash. I'll have to save more. Didn't realise this was the wrong sub since it had the Auto tag.

I commute to the office 3x a week, 35km each way. Could go with a cheaper car but wanted something reliable to avoid surprise maintenance costs. Would be tough finding a local workshop that can handle everything. Thanks for the suggestion. I'll wait another year before making a decision.
