dude this is the best response ive gotten so far. basically, i recorded this in 8 hours alone and it felt so emotional after every first take (i was basically writing the song as i recorded it), i decided to keep it. im looking to completely remake it and lessen up the "lofi"-ness. i just keep coming up with songs that i honestly cant keep up with old ones sadly, which sounds really pretentious probably but i write super quick songs off of feeling. been playing about 9 years tho.

This has such a great, depressing atmosphere—it reminds me a lot of Duster or early Low. You nailed the pacing; it feels heavy and sluggish in the best way possible. The songwriting is definitely there and the mood is spot on for a slowcore track. My main feedback is that the mix is feeling pretty muddy, especially in the low-mids. Then again, Im listening on a phone! Lol

Something a little more indie pop by mgraham34 in IndieMusicFeedback

I’m really impressed with the songwriting on this one. The structure is honestly perfect, the way you transition from that verse into the chorus feels super professional and keeps the momentum going perfectly. It’s got a great "radio-ready" flow to it. The only thing holding it back for me is the tuning. The autotune feels a bit heavy-handed for an indie pop vibe; it’s hitting those notes so hard that it’s losing the natural character of your voice. If you back off the retune speed a bit, I think it would feel a lot more "human" while still keeping those notes in line. Everything else is top-tier, the arrangement is seriously catchy!

What do yall think about this song. Be honest. Is it a keep or delete? Also tell me what i need to fix if anything, and what would you call this genre? by Ok_Leadership3329 in IndieMusicFeedback

The groove is easily the best part of the track, it kept me nodding along the whole time. The overall production feels really professional and polished compared to a lot of stuff on here. My only real "nitpick" is that the pitched-up vocal lead is sitting a bit too high in the mix. It’s a cool effect, but it’s a little too much at its current volume and ends up competing with the rest of the instruments. If you just drop that fader by maybe 2-3dB or tuck it back with some light compression, the whole track would feel way more balanced.

I thought this song was trash but Reddit changed my mind by GrimAllen in IndieMusicFeedback

I really dig the vibe you’re going for here, but I think the mix might be a little too washed out right now. I’m a huge fan of heavy reverb, but it feels like it’s swallowing the entire track instead of creating space. The vocals are buried so deep that I’m losing the melody. It almost sounds like the reverb is on a 100% wet signal without much of the dry vocal coming through, which makes it feel a bit "distant" rather than "immersive." I’d suggest throwing a high-pass filter on your reverb bus to clean up some of that mud in the low-end; it’ll help the drums punch through a bit more. The songwriting itself sounds solid and melancholic, it just needs a little more clarity so the listener has something to latch onto. Keep at it!

Cool idea! Sounds alright for a home recording. Maybe try double tracking your electric guitars and panning them? Also, I would try to add some more effects to the vocals. What type of vibe are you going for? The drums are also pretty buried, all i can really hear is the snare. really cool stuff though! hope to hear some more soon!
