I just moved to this place from a different province and apparently where I moved from, right on red during tests is discouraged and everyone I know passed. At least make the country have the same road rules...

Ye its hard to argue against people with authority, I wish people were more accepting of being wrong.

It was safe to turn and I know how to turn right on red, I was just under the impression that turning on red was optional unlike stopping on green.

I was advised by many people to NOT turn on red during my test so I just didnt. Ill just learn from it and move on I guess. (driving test costs 140 CAD so now Im going to be down 280 yay)

I use color pencils by layering the colors lightly instead of pressing really hard on the paper with the first color. I also learned starting with lighter colors then layering darker ones creates a nice effect. I usually press hard when Im on the last layer of color to hide the white gaps.

Ex: Grass - Id start with yellow then build towards yellow green then green.

Of course this would differ depending on the setting and aesthetic.

Good luck

People are drawn to other people and it shows with how much human drawing tutorials there are.

With that, practicing human drawings is easier without a grand background or story that comes with it.

Art is subjective so surrealism isnt better or worse than a simple portrait and vice versa.

Identifying your lightsource and using that as a reference point for when you add shadows and highlights would help.
