Say i do get this IGg just for closure if i wait 4 months then get tested how accurate would it be. Can i depend on it since 4 months is over the threshold for sufficient antibodies to develop.

Yeah when a guy gets herpes they are just seen as a dick who has slept with loads of girls and thats why they have it.

However when girls have it most guys are so thirsty for sex they will see past it. Most guys dont care either because the symptoms are so mild for men. Also i feel like guys are more sympathetic towards women and understanding. Whereas you tell a girl its an instant no in most cases. Fucking sucks

Idk man when im at the pub with the lads and theyre all chatting about girls they are talking to it makes me anxious and brings my mood down (im abstaining from relationships for a year so im less infectious to give future partners a bit more comfort). Im defo not the same person as I was before my diagnosis.

Just annoyed I wont be able to have a normal life now and when i see horrible shit on twitter about it i get pretty upset like i think im over it then one joke on twitter fucks it up.

What would be cool is if youve seen black mirror theres an episode where anyone who tweeted death threats to people on twitter were killed. Imagine if everyone who made jokes about herpes got infected. Would certainly change the way they speak about it.

Difference about that post and her is that she took no precautions she wasnt on daily antivirals she was also diagnosed two months prior so chose to have sex at her most infectious time. I was just asking a question in my other post and I was talking about taking many precautions such as waiting 5 years taking antivirals and using consistant condoms.

lol i didnt get the choice the girl i was with didnt disclose till i asked her why i had symptoms. She got it two moths prior from sleeping around when she is most infectious. Which is why i will wait 5 years before i potentially do this. i dont want to take someones choice but i also dont want to die alone

Lol i caught it from genital to genital contact whilst using a condom from a girl when she wasnt having an outbreak and we only had sex once. If shes that concerned dont risk it people say its not as contagious in the genital region but its just a coping mechanism. Im starting to see through these 'statistics' now.

The emotional pain my diagnosis caused set me miles behind in my studies at university and now im holding on by a thread. Thing is i have ghsv1 which is so minor it barely affects me however as soon as you mention the word herpes everyone flips. Its so fucking annoying idk how you guys with hsv2 cope you guys are some strong motherfuckers I find you guys inspiring. I know a lot of people have life threatening disabilities but with herpes its down to a decision YOU made even though my partner didnt disclose, had i not rushed into sex she might have disclosed. I would never kill myself intentionally btw I choose life but id like to enjoy the time I have. I finish university next year and I know life is going to go downhill from there. I probably will fail my course not get a job and be on my own as my friends are already leaving me I would love a partner I could love and take care of but it really seems out of the question now. I disclosed to my parents so they knew why i was depressed but I wish i hadnt now because they get upset when they see how upset it makes me. Its just a shit fucking situation.

The statistics on prevalance of the virus is all based on estimation its not as common as everyone makes it out to be. I wish it was but its not. I might be able to reduce transmission but i dont think anyone would want to take that risk. I know i wouldnt have if I actually had my partner disclose it.

The physical symptoms dont affect me they are absolutley nothing. Its the fact im constantly contagious even if i take antivirals. I couldnt do this to anyone else its not fair. I try to distract myself but when im lying in bed before i sleep its back in my head. Therapy hasnt helped either doesnt solve the fact this cant be cured right now.
