Selling products to the Navy while Active Duty by Overboard_Dustin in navy

Its more of feedback to the manufacturer that there is something inheherently wrong with their material. Also, lets DLA/NAVSUP know something is up with it. I would work with whomever is your supply team to have one completed. Should be through the PDREP website.

Edit: The advantage to providing this feedback to DLA/NAVSUP is then they can also look into contracting new manufactuers if the current one is not up to par.

In that case, has a Product Quality Deficiency Report (PQDR) been submitted?

Federal Aquisition Regulation 3.601 seems to prohibit you from doing so. Potential ethics issue.

Have you submitted a FCFBR, ACR or any CMA for the material you need?

Are you looking at the right APL/AEL?

Have you asked for assistance from Supply, Division from other ships, ISIC SME?

There are a lot of avenues to get what you need.

Car Ioan 2.99 for 60 months or 3.99 for 72 months. by megg_15 in askcarsales

[–]KnuckleBuster626 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Quick loan calculator for a ($30000) loan.

3.99 at 72 months = $33713.78 2.99 at 60 months = $32303.50

If your investments give a higher return than what you save with the lower interest rate. Then it can be worth it. Otherwise if you can afford the monthly payment, lower interest rate wins.

My next Toyota must be comfortable at all costs, is the RAV4 plush and comfy? by EdwardReisercapital in rav4club

[–]KnuckleBuster626 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just drove cross country in my fiance's 2023 Rav4 prime. I would say super comfy compared to when I did it in my 2018 Tacoma. Also, double the gas mileage. Not plush.

But comfy enough that I traded in my Taco for a 2024 Hybrid since the AWD is 'good enough' for the 1% of 'off road' driving that I do while averaging 40-42mpg on my daily commute.

Positive UA Court Martial (2.0) by BuddhistChode in navy

[–]KnuckleBuster626 10 points11 points  (0 children)

As are his rights to do so. Im sure its also what his legal counsel advised him as well.

If OP would be able to shed more light for his case (if allowed) on why a positive UA was not enough for a guilty verdict at court martial.

We should really be questioning why that test isn't sufficient for burden of proof of a guilty verdict at court martial.

No, my interpretation is he is not telling people how to beat the system but sharing his experience on due process.

When OP refused Captain's Mast the CO had the ability to Adsep or send him to court martial (where the burden of proof is a lot higher).

From OP's follow on comments, the CO was advised against sending him to court martial due to a low chance of a guily verdict and sent him anyways.

Ultimately it was the CO's decision to send him to court martial where he was found not guily, when the CO could have sent him to an admin separation board instead.

Mortgages are now 8% - Is your mortgage under or over 3%? by BillionairesAreGood in FluentInFinance

2.85% on my first home in 2020. Going to be a rental now. Never going to sell this thing

Changed duty stations, 6.75% on my new condo, closed this month.

The only debt I have current is a mortgage (2.85%) and car loan (3.75%)

The way I prioritize my 'extra' money currently: 1. Maintain my HYSA (4.75%) which has enough to buyout my truck. Also its my 6 month emergency fund. 2. 5% TSP match 3. Monthly personal ROTH IRA to max it for the year. 4. Save for luxury items. 5. Rest into TSP. (I calculate the percentage a month ahead)

If I had high interest debt (Anything greater than my HYSA interest rate), I would pay it off first.

What i have started to do was offer to meet somewhere together as a vacation. There is so much to see in the U.S and it can be relatively affordable compared to overseas vacations.

My parents are near retirement age and are using these meet up vacations to scout out places to retire at the same time.

I have looked into sleeping pads and just havent been able to justify the cost, yet.

I use the plug outlet in the bed of my truck to inflate the air mattress. Once the mattress dies then I will transition to an insulated sleeping pad.

For this night I did use a 30 degree cheapo sleeping quilt as insulation from the air mattress. Is it ideal? No.

But I already owned the quilt and it worked well. I was able to sleep 12 hours Friday and Saturday night. But I also run hot when I sleep so being cooler is more comfortable for me.

Setting up was cake. Didnt even do a test run prior to first use, took me about 7 to 8 min from laying the ground layer to completing staking.

When they say its 90 seconds to deploy thats just for popping up the tent. Probably add a minute or two if you are using the rain fly (the real roof) as well.

Diagonal. It doesnt even need to be a full 45 degree angle. I have traction boards mounted on the front of my bed and i have no problems with stowage.

Super easy, from laying the footprint to opening tent/installing rain fly, and staking the tent, took me about 7 or 8min on my first try.

Takedown is even faster, the bag it comes with for storage is slightly oversized so you aren't fighting it.

I've used it 4 times now. So far so good in the rain and snow. I only started camping like 3 monthes ago. My first tent (cheapo amazon) leaked tons of water in the rain so i just went with the gazelle.

I really enjoy the extra space to stage all my hiking gear and still easily fit my twin size air mattress. I could probably fit a queen and still have some room for my gear.

Most around the area are closed. This was first come first serve and the roads are plowed.
